This is a great topic. I had almost forgotten that she was there with all of the other action going on.
But, I think the ultimate reason was to provide a witness for what happened. Locke is going to be awol for awhile. There needs to be a witness. Sawyer will never tell anyone what happened.

I think she is setting some kind of trap up somewhere but i dont know where. It is weird that we havent seen Alex with Ben and also havent seen her boyfriend in a long time. Where did he go. Maybe to Visit with Rose, Bernard, Michael, and Walt. |
