Hey gang, check out here for more timeline details as well ( http://lost.cubit.net/forum/index.php/topic,2278.0.html). Date of Conception isn't an exact science and does carry a error ratio. I think they normally say two to three days either way (I think). So it might not be on day 37 exactly. Day 41 was when Boone died, and sometimes death can cause couples to "come together" when at odds and such. I really don't think this is a huge deal. It certainly would have been more convenient if it happened right after Jin got back from being with the tailies, but oh well. As up tight as Michael was during the whole first season, no way I believe he was gettin' any.  |

I doubt that it was Michael, although it would be an interesting twist if the baby is African American and Jin is like "Whaaaaa???"  It's just an oversight by TPTB that they have it in the most awkward timeslot possible for the couple to have had sex. Also, Sun has never mentioned having relations with anyone besides Jae, nor have we seen any evidence of this, other than our crazy speculation, of which, personally, I enjoy |

TPTB know what they are doing. They had to write the script that says "53 days", so somebody went back to see what the most confusing day would be.
They want us to keep guessing and talking about this. It was not a mistake that they picked the day Jin and Sun had their split.

I can't believe anyone is even arguing this. Sun said it's Jin's baby. She had no motive to tell Juliet about her pre-Island lover other than she needed to get it off her chest. Juliet didn't know that Jin was infertile, and she's an Other, so why tell her? If the baby is >90 days, then Sun would have conclude it was her lover's. If < 90 days, it was Jin's. She was clearly wanting to confide in someone and would have mentioned if there were anyone else.
