So what did everyone think of the rivalry between Sawyer and Jack, it has always been there, and usually it seems Jack wins.  Only this time when Sawyer THOUGHT he won it was actually Jack who won...Sawyer figured out why Kate acted the way she did when she came in the tent.  But hey he got his old buddy Jack back in the Ping Pong game.

Sawyer won twice, ping pong, and got Kate. That is a win.

I think that she wants to have her cake and eat it too.  Sawyer at least told her that he knew what she was doing when he told her she didn't have to use him, just to ask.  I am hoping that she will let herself care for Sawyer the way that he obviously does for her.

A ) I've lost "respect" for Kate. She used to be someone that I thought was really trying to better herself (even though stranded on an island). I think she's still VERY beautiful, but just has lost something TO ME. Same with Sawyer. He used to be funny, sexy and very funny with everyone...well, he picked on them. Now he's all wimpy... because he got some good lovin?? Come on!

B ) The ping pong game was funny. Jack is all laid back telling how Kate was with him "last night" and it's ripping Sawyer's heart out. LMAO!!!

It did help him find that inner drive to win the game.  Seems that last winner had extra oomph behind it.

I could seriously do without the whole love triangle.  It's just too Grey's Anatomy for me.  I liked Kate better when she was just looking out for herself.

But, since it is part of the show and I am a fan of the show, I offer up these comments:

Jack's already been through one instance of falling in love with someone and seeing her with another man.....I think his decision to cut Kate loose is a good one.  Kate is torn up about Jack being with Juliet not only because she has feelings for him, but also because she sees Jack to be a stand-up, moral guy.  So, if a guy like Jack loves her, then she can't be a bad person like the other people in her life have tried to make her out to be.  Being rejected by him, then, is a double blow.

I agree with Jugdish that Sawyer pretty much goes into the "win" column just for getting to sleep with her.  BUT....every guy knows that there's a Catch-22 Smiley there if you really care about the girl.  If you really don't give a damn about her, then revenge sex is great.  If you do, however, then it may not be such a good deal for you to be the rebound guy, because once the girl gets over Guy #1, she may start looking at you as the guy that took advantage of her in her moment of weakness, or she may decide that she only slept with you to get back at her boyfriend and not because she really liked you.  Either way, you may have blown the chance of a continued relationship.

In short, if you don't take the opportunity to have sex with her this one time, you may not get to have sex with her at all.  By TAKING the opportunity to have sex with her this one time, you may lose the opportunity to have sex with her a bunch of times.

Island Women .... Can't live with 'em, can't kill 'em and expect them to stay dead.

The whole mix of these four is pointless.  Juliet will be found out, Jack will again feel betrayed, Kate will consul him, Sawyer will be jealous.  The only issue is what does Kate do in the end.  (No pun intended).

The mix will get more interesting and will get milked (again, no pun intended) as the losties cast doubt upon Juliet, Sawyer becomes more likeable, and Sawyer finds Sawyer.  In the end, Sawyer will not want Kate and will instead take up a new pasttime....parachuting.

Or he will start identifying so much with Hurley that they will start looking alike!
