I thought I saw that too.  I was going to ask someone to get a screenshot of it to make sure.  It flashed for just a second.  The first thing that struck me was how fake the picture looked as if they were superimposed on a fake background, and then I just caught a millisecond glance of the woman and thought it looked like the ring shop lady.  (Why was I picturing her in a clock shop?)

I noticed that as well. She is standing in front of the monestary with the head monk dude.

It looks incredibley fake, like she was pasted on. But it is the lady from the ring store. So it is another clue to Destiney? Or is desmond being pushed to these choices.

Is it that bad because of production error or on purpose? It was just so blatantly badly done.

Maybe they couldnt get the original lady back and had to make due...but it's not the first time things were blatantly obvious...the dharma shark for instance...

I get that feeling.  Dharma probably found him when he was all drunk that night, the night he couldn't remember, and then set up the monk to come "save" him.

Who knows maybe she didn't want to do another lost thing, or maybe she died recently.

Maybe it's ment to look fake so the people who don't take lost as seriously as the people in these forums would spot it.

Tend to agree that it is so fake looking for a reason. Also, keep in mind that we know from the vintage on the wine that this was 1995 so we're talking six years before Desmond and Ms. Hawking meet in the jewelry shop until 2001.

This is likely the key item in this show, Why are they in a picture together? Is the monk also someone making sure Desmond makes it to the island? Is the picture so bad because it was formed from a timeline switch??
