2008 Presidential Election Nominations
« on: April 14, 2007, 05:03:43 PM »
This is probably going to be a bit of a touchy subject and that to start arguments. But lets say that the 2008 Presidential Primaries were held today, out of both parties, which candidates would you choose?

Obviously, the front runners for the Dem's are Hillary and Osama, I mean Obama.

And the front runners for the Repub's are McCain and Giuliani.

But out of all those who have announced so far (list below) who would you vote for?

Narrow it down to one candidate per party and then pick one of the two.

Those seeking Democratic Nomination
Hillary Clinton
Barack Obama
John Edwards
Bill Richardson
Joe Biden
Wesley Clark
Chris Dodd
Dennis Kucinich
Mike Gravel

Those seeking Republican Nomination
Rudy Giuliani
John McCain
Mitt Romney
Newt Gingrich
Fred Thompson
Sam Brownback
Chuck Hagel
Mike Huckabee
Tommy Thompson
Jim Gilmore
Duncan Hunter
George Pataki
Ron Paul

For me, being a republican at heart will be voting Republican in '08.

For the Dem's however, I would choose Obama to win. I do not really want to see this happen, but he is better than Hillary in my opinion, Hillary is a fat stupid idiot.

For the Republican nomination, I would've chose the hometown boy, Tommy Thompson over all candidates, but due to some personal beef between him and someone from my family, I hate him.

That being said, I would choose McCain over Giuliani. That solely for Giuliani's stance on Abortion, him being a Repub and being Pro-Choice really makes me not want to vote for him. Sure, if he won the Repub nomination, I would vote for him, but not in the Primary.

Osama, whoops! I mean Obama
VS John McCain

Without a doubt McCain.

Our new President in 2008 is...

JOHN MCCAIN

McCain '08

Me? I have my vote already picked out (yes, Thlay, I AM old enough to vote ;) ) The top two runners on both sides are, as you said, Clinton and Obama for Dems, and Giuliani and McCain for Reps. This is how I will vote:

Clinton v. Giuliani: Either Independent, abstain, or Giuliani... depending.
Obama v. Giuliani: Obama
Clinton v. McCain: McCain
Obama v. McCain: McCain

My top choice for Pres is McCain. If McCain doesn't get the vote and Obama does, Obama is my second choice. I WILL NOT VOTE FOR CLINTON and I really don't want Giuliani.

Just curious, JB- why not Giuliani?
