What was the meaning of Ben's comments to Goodwin and Ethan following his instructions regarding infiltration of the new losties?  Mikail is working on finding information regarding the passengers.  What kind of lists are Ben requesting?


In the episodes of season 2, it appears that the invading Other's had lists very early.  Were these supplied by Goodwin or generated by Jacob?

Are Jacob's list simply a list of names that was made long before the crash and it is the job of Ethan and Goodwin to figure out who that is on that list just arrived?

Agreed.  Also, he wanted descriptions so that they could be identified on sight so that they could be abducted.

I think Jacob's List depends on what we learn about the nature of the plane crash.  If Jacob's people caused it, then he already had a list and Ben was just trying to find out who on the list had survived.  If they didn't, then Jacob's list may have come from Ben's list or the flight manifest.

I agree w/ Juggy... Mikhail can find all people who were on the flight, but how would he know anyone's state of being? He probably wanted to know things like who's the doc, who's preggers, etc...

They probably got the flight manifest pretty quick and then did their little(not so little) background investigations on everyone right then.  They may have known from the get go, take any kids and certain other ones, because they got the info on them fastest. ??maybe??

i think he cross referenced the names. He knew who he wanted, maybe even before they got there. And what does jacob want? I think Jacob is God, or maybe the devil.

i don't think the devil is necassarily about "need" it's more about "want."  Greed and gluttony and all that jazz... right?

Jacob isn't God or Devil.  He is real though I think.  I don't think he is someone that Ben made up to make the other Other's be scared of him.
