I wonder....did Kate and Juliet really sleep through the night and head back in the morning?  Maybe the sky just got real dark because of the rain, and maybe they fell asleep as a residual effect of the gas?  Was it really 12 hours?

again, if sayid was still handcuffed to a swing set then i drop everything ive said.... but if he was then he was never "gassed" which means he has been wide awake for the whole time... knowing which way they went, how they left and how many there were of them.... he would be screaming to anyone who was in earshot for help, and now he was "rescued" would be eager to tell of what he saw and heard!!! but again "nothing", he just wants to know why juliettes now joining them???

i guess if someone can get us a better timeline of kate/juliette waking till they make it back to otherville, it will equal the same amount of time that jack was apparently still out cold, and longer if you take into affect that jack was woken!

That's true.  Sayid was handcuffed to the swingset, though, and he probably was gassed.  The stuff doesn't have to be inside an enclosed space to work.  He probably got knocked out just like the rest of them.

Maybe that's where the people with the backpacks and the masks were going.  They gassed Kate, and I assume they gassed Jack, but they wouldn't have had to put on masks to do that.  They just would have thrown the cannisters in.  Maybe they had the masks on so that they wouldn't catch a backdraft or anything when they gassed Sayid at the swingset.

Guess we'll have to wait and see what Sayid says on the next show.

im sorry but that whole episode make so little sense in regards to a plan to disguise there need to leave immediately and to "gas" jack/kate/sayid/juliette in different locations rather than locking them all in the rec room which seemed unescapable... leaving sayid and jack alone whilst they drop kate and juliette off in the middle of nowhere to retrek back to otherville..... add in the happiness in seeing smokey up to his old tricks and then its a quick hi how are ya lets head back to camp???? i guess i wanted to see more of otherville in an extensive search but from the previews from the next epsiode we may get a quick glimpse of otherville as we head back to the beach..... i just dont get it!! we already know about the beach and its surrounding area which is pretty much nothing of any substance, and yet we have an expansive civilised location right in front of us to be explored and yet we dont get to see any of it thru jacks wanting to leave.... adds that to my list of things i dispise about him... im done commenting on his behaviour.... back to what matters.... what can we hope to find in otherville and when can we hope to have our losties finally being comfortable after 3 months of sand in there undies...
