It's the same thing we are going through with Jack and Claire.  TPTB are just doing this to see how many of us they can drive crazy.

Anyone want a ride to the Santa Rosa Mental Health facility?  It seemed to help Hurley and Libby! Grin

Well we all know Sawyer + Cassidy = Baby,  so will  caged Sawyer + caged Kate = baby?I hope the "Korean vote" didn't use up all those Widmore pregnancy tests.
They paraded her around in a dress. They placed them across from one another. They took Jack out of the picture so that Kate could not feel guilt for wanting to be with Sawyer. They put them in all these different little situations and manipulated them into sleeping together. I have said since the moment she let him rip her shirt off that she will end up pregnant by the time this show is over.

I was curious as to why Juliette didn't seem keen on going back for Jack - maybe she does only want Kate - maybe Kate is pregnant.

I thought the prenant Cassy remark was more of a timeline clue and I'm rubbish at following the timeline so I ignored it.

I want to believe that Clementine is real, and most of me believes it, but usually when a woman finds out she's pregnant she doesn't go and throw back 3-4 shots of whiskey!  It wasn't like it was one beer or one glass of wine, it was shots!!  If she still loved Sawyer and knew she was having his baby, she wouldn't have been drinking.  It was probably just her throwing caution at the wind, but still!  That could be evidence that she was lying.

I just think she was uneducated.  Do most 1st-pregnancy women know not to drink? Huh

It's a social thing too...I find in most lower social groups, they tend to think drinking in the early stages of pregancy is ok, compared to the 2nd trimester...not being ok...

I previously posted a similar thought.  I hoped I wasn't stereo-typing too much.  lol

I knew not to drink.  Seeing that kind of stuff just really gets under my skin.  Don't even get me started.  I took in a family two years ago that had 7 kids--all were meth-babies when born.  They ranged in age from 14 to 3 months old.  I can't believe people can be so stupid!

I'm not going to champion the lower class, the poor and such.... I was poor, uneducated and considered "lower class" by many that provided services for me... a welfare foster kid... and at the time I was pregnant it wasn't such a big deal to drink or not, I was given a cigarette right in the recovery room... those were the days... people don't always educate the poor they think we are too dumb to learn...  thank goodness my husband has an education and by association I'm not trash anymore...

And, many an educated well-to-do woman has thrown back a few to many drinks during pregnancy and ends up with a child with fetal alcohol syndrome due to mommies alcoholism... consumption of alcohol is still favored by the more fortunate people that hang out at country clubs, spas...  hence, the booming rehab industry and those ain't poor folk knocking on Betty Ford's door...

not meaning to slap anyone's hand... it's all good, I just like to have a rant now and again -- gets my blood pumping and doesn't happen often... just consider it my hormones or something and don't go away mad... please

Thanks, midsparkle- this is why I was timid to even open the can, but now it's all laid bare for everyone to examine & draw their own conclusions. Smiley

My personal contribution to the discussion is that I didn't know as a college-educated, middle-class, 1st time mom that alcohol consumption is not recommended.  I do not regularly drink, but when I was pregnant with my 1st, my husband & I were flying 1st class & I indulged in the complimentary drinks.  Very different from throwing back the shots that Cassidy was, lol  but there are many variables, so we cannot automatically assume.
