Hello fellow lost ones. This is my first post. Feel free to yell at me and tell me what I did wrong.
Years ago there was a show called THE PRETENDER. It was about a man who could be anything he imagined himself to be. Is it possible that Locke's connection with the island allows him to be anything he imagines himself to be, Like a sub commander or a hunter or great leader?  GREAT SITE AND GREAT POST.......THANKS TO ALL.

I don't think so since so far he has bumbled his way through. I did hunt successfully, but the rest has been not impressive.

I agree with Juggy!!   Grin

I do think that Locke was not telling the truth to Kate though
I think he may have went with them either 1) against his will or 2) to find out more.
There was something odd about the way he was talking to Kate
that I can't quite put my finger on though.

I'll up you both a few... my posts are worth more than 2 cents Wink

Locke didn't bungle his way through anything--the Island gave him what he needed to emerge as an eventual leader.  Locke spent his entire life being smacked down by TheMan and this was his chance to prove his intellect and his abilities, which he did quite well--except for the Boone thingie. *sigh, my Boonie*

So no, Locke is not The Pretender.  Good idea, tho.

cheers

Oh Des your posts are worth way more than 2 cents  Wink and I am always glad to read what you have in that mind of yours.
(sigh I really miss your posts...)
I will never think Locke as bungling his way though anything
He is a clever man and I like him and I think he will prove to
Locke haters just how valuable he can be
So Tongue Tongue to all the Locke-haters out there!
