i'm on board.

SAWYER=ANTHONY COOPER=ADAM SEWARD

Its a total stretch...but you can spell SAWYER out of ANTHONY COOPER and ADAM SEWARD...if you take bits and pieces from each.

Okay...that is a total stretch...

The man who uncuffed Locke was the man with Ethan who recruited Juliet and showed her the X-rays of the 23 year old woman who looked 70.

I the episode where Locke's dad meets Locke at the airport to get the money and Helen shows up and says are you him?( a lot of speculation that Helen was in on the con to get Locke to get the money). There was a line according to producer's podcast that was cut that Cooper;Locke's dad admits he also went by the name of Sawyer.

"Anthony Cooper, Adam Seward" is anagram for "Sawyer, the con man, a poor dad".

I would love it if Anthony Cooper and Sawyer (James Ford) meet each other later in the season. just to see Sawyer (James Ford) beat the **** out of him!

For the record-  I have believed this to be true since S2E11 when I heard this conversation. Smiley

Quote
LOCKE: Why'd you pick that name?

SAWYER: Ain't it obvious? All you need's an earring and a mop.

LOCKE: No, your name. Why'd you pick Sawyer?

SAWYER: What do you mean, pick?

LOCKE: After the census Hurley gave me the flight manifest. Your name is James, right? James Ford.

SAWYER: What's it to you?

LOCKE: Just an interesting name to choose, is all. Who'd you get it from?

SAWYER: Who says I got it from anybody?

So, PL, are you saying that John knew "Sawyer" was one of his dad's aliases?

I don't know of any real "evidence," but I do believe it's possible.  The thing is- Locke doesn't really know Sawyer's (James Ford's) backstory, so he couldn't have put THAT much together yet, but it may have just struck him as coincidental. It was just so random, but then again...it is Locke that we're talking about.  lol

Helen was brought up a thread or so ago and there is one thing I can't stop thinking about with her.  I think Cooper paid her to be Lock's woman.  From the start of their relationship, all she wanted was Locke to stop stalking his dad and pursuing a relationship with him.  It was a him or me thing.  She was forcefull about it too!!  I think she was a "plant" in that meeting they met at and she was sent there by Cooper.  Which would also give Locke more to be pissed about.  Did this thread make any sense?

I see what you're saying, but how would you then explain her reaction to meeting him in S2E17?

Quote
Locke brings the money to his father who waits at a local motel. Cooper offers Locke his part of the money, but Locke refuses. Suddenly, a knock on the door is heard. Cooper opens the door, and Helen stands in the door way. She asks "Are you him?", and slaps him.

She could have been acting/pretending to not know him, maybe because of their arrangement.  I just thought that she was really on the kick about Locke losing communications with his father, which is exactly what Cooper wanted.
