not sure if this has been mentioned but the death card in tarot isn't really a bad card - it's all about new starts and putting the past behind you

The Hanged Man, The Fool and The Hermit are much worse but then again this wasn't a genuine reading and the Death card always gets a bad reaction.

it's not neccesarily bad but it can be. it depends how the cards are laid out. if a card is inverted, then it's meaning is inverted.
