« on: March 01, 2007, 12:34:38 AM »
when hurley was listing what went wrong for him to Tricia, he mention his best friend and his gf (names escape me) ran off together...

was there any new "bad news" that he mentioned in that interview?

I thought he said his best friend ran off and then he stated to say something about his girlfriend, Starla... and he was stopped right there... I don't think those two ran off together, but who knows... what difference would it make when it all seems like bad luck anyway

Look at it this way:

If Hurley was in the House when it caught fire, he would have died.
If Hurley was in Mr. Clucks when the meteor hit, he would have died.
If Hurley wasn't on flight 815, he would have never found hope and fear of the curse would have killed him.

Now Starla wasn't meant to be with Hurley. Maybe she would have prevented him from going to Australia or ran off with his money.

Hurley has good luck the way I look at it.

Interesting perspective Kelvin....
also:
he had purchased orange futures - bad frost, price of orange juice goes up....

sneaker factory in Canada, killed eight people - but he had insurance on the property.....

if Hurley wasn't on the island, he wouldn't have met Libby, even tho she later was killed by Michael.....

I think it's everyone around him who has to start rubbing rabbit feet or clovers or something...

Hurley never thought he himself had bad luck, though. He thought he caused everyone else around him to have it. He felt the numbers were cursed and he was a jinx, basically. I think Hurley sucked all the good luck out from the souls of those around him lol...

Well, the big guy has his own rabbit foot now!

Also could the white rabbit foot be a nod to Alice in Wonderland?

Look how many lives would of been saved if Hurley'e first purchase with the lottery winning was a rabbits foot.
