I was reading somewhere http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20010504,00.html that Adam and Eve have a very potent role in future seasons and we will all think "ah, theyve planned this from the beginning!" so im thinking that at some later date, two of the losties will have to make a sacrifice to save everyone and warp backwards into the past to change some cataclysm and will be stranded there till their bodies are found when the losties first explore the caves in season one.. two episodes ago i would have scoffed at this notion, but with recent revelations its all seeming much more possible.. what do you guys think?

I do not believe that will happen. I think Adam and Eve are Bens parents. I do not think we are going to have constant time traveling going on.

i understand that it is stretching the 'reality' metre.. but i think were starting to see the grand plan.. at least a little more; the island was portrayed in the s01e00 flashback episode as a mysterious place attracting people throughout time. implying it has been doing something for a very long time to bring people from all over the place (eko's plane) to it. We also know that the "electromagnetic anomoly" was being restrained by a dharma installed station. it is possible that before the swan station was excavated the island's time/space properties greatly differed to what they are now.. we still dont know how the world would have ended if the button wasnt pushed.. we only see the failsafe result.. it is possible that the island is everywhere and everytime when its magnetic functions are running unimpeded. since the failsafe was triggered, the others have lost communication with their external contacts.. will later episodes see the losties and the others working together to find out where and when the heck they are?
i wont keep rambling but i think ive sufficently stretched a whole big enough in the reality wall for my little theory to slip through..

I am not saying you are of track, just that I will be disappointed if it goes this route. We were lead to believe that this show would be based in science and not time travel. I just am not that big of science fiction fan and don't want it to go that route to much.

im not sure that i like it.. but the show would have a certain poetic finality if we had a hook up that ran that deep and that early.. like if sawyer was HIM or something.. something that was there from the very beginning that left us all just gobsmacked.. thats what im looking for these days.. trying to predict those big twists

Were they in the cave that collapsed?

Monster, I believe you are exactly correct in your theory about the Adam and Eve skeletons. I think it's "the big reveal" that we must have at the end of "Lost." The question now is "which two?"

What evidence do you have that leads us to believe that adam and eve are ben's parents other than he's been on the island his whole life?
