Donovan was walking with a lady ( I think ) and chatting about theories and how you can have the same theory run 10 times and all 10 times it ends differently. This is a Hawkings subject. Based on the Brief History of Time site that I had found before..here's the link to the thread I had started. Thread

I just found it odd that it's a conversation that was placed in this episode dealing with a book from the last episode. Thoughts?? (And don't use words bigger than 4 letters or I'll get confused AND...don't yell at me if you think it's a stupid topic to start.)

Um, I think it's funny that you stayed within the tiny word limits and all.. Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy but come on people...I need some feedback. Does this subject have any substance to it?

(I just ask that you not overwhelm me with giant words and two days worth of  reading to give me some insights LOL)

I got to thinking that maybe the reason Penny knows why Desmond time-traveled (if she knows?) was that if Donovan knows her, we would have figured out that Desmond was telling the truth when the soccer team (Arsenal?) came back from being down 2-0, and could have told her.

I think it is awesome that you started two threads and then linked them Cheesy Cheesy

I'm sorry I think it is just a small detail with no impact on the show.

No evidence Penny knows anything about time travel.

OK now I'm even more confused
I am trying to figure out where if anywhere did anybody mention anything about Penny knowing or not knowing about Time travel in this thread....

I don't think she knew..(about time travel) and I did have a question about why she said "don't rewrite History (actually Michelle's question originally)
But as I re watched..she says that when Des tells her why she left her flat to move in with him, so she was saying "don't change things around thats not why I did it and you know that" kinda thing.
But interesting choice of words nontheless

So this thread must be pointless. I thought the Steven King books and all other referencing of writings were so important in all the other episodes. Now we have one that is freakin awesome and intelligent and not "fiction" and it's not note-worthy?

Michelle, I think your observation is intriguing. If Donovan's conversation was something like "run theory 10 times, get 10 different outcomes" then it is utterly ironic, since the theme of 3X8 might be "try to change history 10 times, ultimately get the same outcome every time." That universe thing again.
