I outlined what I'm seeing in black.  I have a really good monitor, so maybe that makes a difference. It's very faint. I have a new idea. On Shark the other night there was a similar scene where Shark's face was faintly visible superimposed over another scene. The size of his face was about the same as this. Then the camera pulled back to show Shark watching a videotape on a tv. His face was reflected on the tv screen. Maybe Ben's operation was taped and now someone is watching it on tv. Reflections are a theme in this show. There's the face reflected on the stationary bicycle's speedometer, the rectanglular reflection on the video monitor when Locke and Eko were watching the orientation video in the Pearl, etc. Maybe this is Jacob's face. Or maybe it's Jack's and he's watching himself operate. |
