The Kiss was worth it
« on: October 11, 2006, 10:40:38 PM »
I just laughed as Sawyer poured out the water and then went and kissed Kate.
He knew what he was in for, and did it anyway. I hate to think he did it just for a distraction to get a gun.

What does everyone else think? He kissed her because he watched her bend over all day, or a distraction to escape?

I think he did it for several reasons... one is heck its Kate... and two he needed a reason for Danny to come up to him, and cause a scene with the guns an tasers.  He was being a hero in tough guy Sawyer fasion.

I thought it was because he was guilty for pouring out the water and wanted to give Kate something to um... drink ;)

If I'm not mistaken, he did it in order to get the Others to rush him so he could get a judge of them in a fight.  He explained it to Kate in their last scene.

Not spoken in such a blunt way but assumed...

Possibly, but I don't think that that was his original intention if you know what I mean. He wouldn't put Kate in that much danger intentionally. He's too much of a softy.

People the show does come right out and tell us some things. He explained it clearly to Kate. He wanted to see what the others were made of. He now has important information. Sometimes a cigar is a cigar.

The problem is now that he said it out loud, the OTHERS know.

Stupid of him. Of course they are monitoring him!

Oh, and think about those lengthy discussions about the cigarette. Please don't go there...

Sawyer is definitely not a brain surgeon, but he has enough of a con and tough guy in him to size people up.

He has his skills that will come in handy in this situation

Right, but the OTHERS are smarter and have more firepower. Sawyer won't get away too easily.
