If it's Carole King you're talking about then the show is either "I Dream of Jeannie" or "The Gilmore Girls"... I think it's the first one cuz you said proposed rather than actual. I'm not 100% sure but hopefully my answer isn't wayyyyy off...

New Clue: Animated cartoon with a cool theme song based on anthropomorphic candy that like to bounce.

Have at it... :)

Gummi Bearssssss bouncing here and there and everywhere...

What are the 2 single-word shows that Vic Tayback appeared on as a grill cook?

"They are the gummmm-iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii bears!" :D

LOL! Oh sorry, that's my pet name for Scrod... he said I could call him sugar tits cuz I had a hard time trying to figure out what to call him when he went through his Prince phase... He went from scrod->srodilicious->bi-polar bear->Captain Obvious->then finally back to scrod... :P

But I'll think of something fun for you too... Something with a Jon Bon Jovi flair... ;)

btw..  I Dream of Jeannie was correct..

new:
The show was the first American sitcom centered on a person of Asian descent.  It lasted five epis.  The star went on to co-star in the equally short-lived series a few months later, making him one of the few actors to star in two unsuccessful, unrelated TV series during the same season.

Mr. T(?) & Tina with Pat Morita.  Pretty sure that's it because he also was in that Happy Days spinoff set in Las Vegas or something.
