Numbers on Desmond's letters
« on: May 26, 2006, 11:03:26 AM »
I didn't even notice and I don't think anyone has mentioned it here, but if so, please forgive me. Someone on another site thought they saw the numbers on the letters and sure enough, it looks like they are.

Couldn't seem to add a comment to the Investigations entry.

We know the Widmores are super-rich, but it might help reinforce that to know that Knightsbridge (Penny's address) is a district of London containing possibly the most expensive residential real estate in the world.

ukslim:  That's odd, I just tried it myself and you're right that you can't leave comments in that one.  I can't change the settings behind there, you may have to email sledgeweb to see if he can change it.

Just out of curiosity, are ordinary users able to see the Investigations section of the forums?

That's another way to leave comments.

I think the numbers you are refering to are just postcodes.

Well, the numbers I see on here are:

4, 8, 23 and 42

I don't see 15 and 16, which would be the final two numbers of "the numbers"

Yes, they are postal codes and part of addresses, but I think Stray's just trying to say it's another cute Easter Egg, much as the number appearing on the police squad car, soccer jerseys, and other places in the story, no huge meaning, just something for fun.

So can someone check the link and tell me if you can see that?

I think the numbers have really lost all meaning, like they are just kind of an occurance, like the number 72 or 74 in Alias (J.J. Abram's other hit show). If I see them on something small and insignificant like Desmonds letters or Henry Gales license, I don't get to hyped.

I was able to get in and post a semi-slutty comment (not full fledged whoring like this one is...)

The producers love to tease us but  if they do it too much  the numbers will lose any significance they were suppose to have.
