YAY!  Cheesy

Do I get something? Some points or something?

Here's one I've seen around although I personally wouldn't use it and I haven't seen it on SWLS: ffs

Give it a go (you probably already know it!)

I can't say what I think ffs means here LOL.
I see ffs sometimes when playing games, which means false forfeits. Is that what you mean, hopefully? LOL

Oh, sorry, I wouldn't have expected you to actually type it out! My apologies!

It's a new one on me so I wondered if anybody else had seen it. (We both obviously know what it means so I won't go into detail!).

I think that's the extent of my knowledge of webtalk!

Oh no, I've got you into trouble DevilishinVA, quick, run!

I'm so sorry! I'm such a bad influence and the worst thing is that I don't generally use that kind of language!

Hah, ok, I'll add that one, but I don't think it gets used a lot.  Gotta keep in mind that this is not going to be a comprehensive dictionary of ALL netspeak (just the more common stuff)... and I'll have to draw the line eventually to keep the list manageable.  I'd rather leave more room for lost-specific or SWLS-specific lingo.

Fenry was already on there, demra.

It's just not as much fun from the other side.  Like the psychic's daughter, it's scary being in the "in between place".  Grin

Adding ARG, which Astro used... and you may see this on other sites, refers to the webmaze.

dengit... stealing my terminology again... I propose that "Pandy Bear" be forever added to the SWLS lexicon, and referenced to it's proper etymological origin... ME!

(yay blatant attention whoring!)

net speak i've come across:

ttiuwp... this thread is useless without pics...
ibtl - in before the lock, when you want to post in an inappropriate thread that will be locked by a mod
iirc - if i recall/remember correctly
bump - bring up my posts... bringing a thread up to the top of a list with a one word post: "bump"

Hey Olly,

I think the others are a little esoteric/rarely used, so I won't add them just yet (if I see more people using them here, I might add them later)... but I think bump is a good one that people use commonly, and I'll include it.

No one's talked here for a while, but let's see if anyone can guess what this acronym means:
EHFAR
I use it quite often.

Got me there, JB Smiley  I've no clue, but I'm sure it's not a common one.
