I just wanted to add a little bit to a couple of these

From the end of the note I posted on Facebook:

*Why couldn't women conceive/carry to term babies on the island?
Rule made by Jacob?  He brought who he wanted to the island.  He didnt want people making new people.

Just like it was said here, Jacob brings people to the island because he is searching for a new candidate.  Having people reproduce is counter productive to this since Jacob is searching for someone who is not a parent to be a candidate.  He removed Kate from the list because she was a mother, although she could have still taken it if she wanted.

*How did MIB become Smokey? Yet, Jack and Desmond and Hurley all went into the cavern and didn't become smoke monsters. Why MIB? Why didn't Jack become white smoke?
MIB was sent into the cavern by Jacob.  Jack and Desmond went there on there own regards.  They thought they were doing good. IT was not MIB's time to die so the island turned him into the monster that his soul really was.

I have a different theory on this one.  Desmond and Hurley are easy.  Desmond is immune to the electromagnetism.  Hurley never went all the way down into the cavern, just to the precipice.

Jack is not as simple.  It could be because he went there for good, but I'm not so sure about that.  It could be something with the way an electromagnetic field works, it has magnetic AND direction.  MiB floated towards the source of the field and Jack (was it was replugged) only went away from the field, although there are some holes in this theory and I doubt this is the case.

I like to think that when he went in, it was unplugged so there was no danger.  As for why he didn't turn into the monster when he plugged it, it could be because by doing so his powers as the new Jacob were restored to him and made him immune.

THIS!  So Happy someone posted this.

That was a really funny video.  Short but covers a lot!  I agree, I had forgotten some of that stuff.  Thanks for the link!

Don't do it!  Darlton will sue you like JK Rowling did that guy who wrote a Harry Potter encyclopedia, and you'll need a couple of Miles' diamonds to pay off your legal bills!   :D

But if we are being sued in a court of law then Darlton would have to say why our book is wrong and voila! he would have to answer all the questions correctly--and truthfully because he would be under oath!  :D I would be poor but I would know who got shot in the boat that Juliette shot at. Darlton did say he knows the answer but just isn't telling anyone.....

Whatever happened to Cindy and the kids after they all ran into the jungle away from the mortar?
Why were they okay with joining the others in the first place and never going back to their real lives?  Wouldn't those kids want to get back to their parents?

From the end of the note I posted on Facebook:

In the Flash Sideways, at the end:
*Where were Rose and Bernard, who had both appeared in the Flash Sideways earlier?
Rose and Bernard were happy on the island. They didnt need to go meet with everyone becasue they didnt want to be with everyone.  They wanted to be alone.

Again, Rose and Bernard WERE there at the end lol...

So, there are times when talented story-crafters leave a series finale open-ended to allow fans' imaginations to continue on the story line as each fan would enjoy best.  Then there's feces.  Guess what I smell?

OK, I re-watched "The End" Saturday night, and I noticed a couple of (admittedly very small) things... so these are just for fun:

1.  What was in that black back-pack that MIB wore all the time?  The C-4 was already gone, right?  His knife was in a holster.  What kind of luggage could a smoke-monster possibly need when packing to leave his home of the past 1000 years?  What was so important?  A change of socks?  (I noticed that UnLocke dropped the backpack when he started his cliffside fight with Jack, and that after "the battle" was over, Ben picked it up when he and Hurley and Jack started off.  But then when they arrived at the mouth of the light-cave, definitely none of them had or were carrying the back-pack.  Then afterwards, I think I saw it lying on the ground near Jack.  Continuity...  :))

2.  Why did Kate change clothes in between leaving Jack in the car and going into the church?  What, the church has a dress code?  And the little black dress was too short or something?

3.  Speaking of the car, why is Successful Spinal Surgeon Jack still driving that beat-up POS Jeep or whatever it was?  Wouldn't he have a nicer car?  I understand that Bearded Druggie Jack might have some financial issues and have that car, but this Jack?

3.  How did Ben get out from under the tree?

4.  How did Jack get up from the bottom of the waterfall in the light-cave?  When Jacob found his brother draped in the trees after Smokey's creation, I assumed that the body got tossed out/blasted out by the force of Smokey's eruption.  But with Jack there was no Smokey, so how did he get out?

Unless... there was a Smokey!   Dun-dun-DUN!!    :o  (OK, just kidding...)

Interesting catch.  Just think of all the theories and speculations we would have if Ben had held on to the back pack until the end.

2.  Why did Kate change clothes in between leaving Jack in the car and going into the church?  What, the church has a dress code?  And the little black dress was too short or something?

Who knows, she could have just wished her new outfit into being.  She "enlightened" at that time and it was their own little world they made up.

3.  Speaking of the car, why is Successful Spinal Surgeon Jack still driving that beat-up POS Jeep or whatever it was?  Wouldn't he have a nicer car?  I understand that Bearded Druggie Jack might have some financial issues and have that car, but this Jack?

The ALT reflected the real world so it's not too surprising it was the same car.  Besides, Jack never really seemed like the type that got all caught up on his possessions, I'm not sure he would be the type to go out and by some snazzy car just because he could.  Or maybe it just had sentimental value.

3.  How did Ben get out from under the tree?

Remember the last time we saw him under the tree?  I have not rewatched The End yet, but as I remember it Sawyer was running up with some large branch he was putting under the tree to use as a lever.  It never actually showed this working but I'm assuming they were trying to fit the show into the alotted amount of time and this was just one of the scenes that was cut, we were just supposed to assume it worked.

Where the light was in the cave where was where the water ran into the cave, where Jack woke up and where MiB's body was found were in almost the exact same spot outside a different cave where the water was running out of the cave.  I think we are just supposed to assume both of them were washed out of the cave.

Unless... there was a Smokey!   Dun-dun-DUN!!    :o  (OK, just kidding...)

I know you said it was just for fun.  The posting here has slowed down a lot and I'm just not ready to let go yet. ;)

Darlton just said that to cover up for all the stuff they didn't address...  "Nothing to see here, move along, move along..."   :D

I'm just playing at this point -- those aren't truly "unanswered questions" but more like just odd little things I noticed.

OK--here's a wierd question. My son was over this weekend and I was telling him all the answers that I have figured out (from everyone here help  ;)). I was doing great and even said "ask me anything" and he asked whose glass eye was it that was in the hatch the tailies discovered. I said it was Patchy's but was there a story behind how it got in there? Does anyone remember?

I realize this question and answer isn't a burning question that needs to be answered in order to understand the show.....just a trivial one...

Cowboy, sorry but if you except that you are more gullible than i ever would have thought. They Cr*ped out and gave us this lame excuse. and everyone is like" ooooh yeah, ok. it's tptb so it must be so wonderful. they are Gods ,so we should just be happy with it like they tell us to, or we "don't get it"."  way to try and make ppl feel stupid if they don't like the finale or if we don't except the fact that they strung us along and acted like they knew what they were doing.  ::)

Good golly, I didn't even remember them finding a glass eye, much less whose it was or how it got there.  Way to go, lostlady, NOW how am I going to go to sleep tonight?!?   ;) ;D
