So is no one leaving the island?
« on: May 05, 2010, 10:20:02 AM »

Was just reading the death thread and someone mentioned Frank died on the sub.

So we've got no sub and the pilot is now dead.  It was a slim chance that they'd be able to fly the plane outta there.  But really, how are they going to leave now?  Or will everyone die except for Jack/Desmond and Smokey?

I think Jack is the only one with flying experience. He said he took lessons, but I don't think he meant a jet!

Maybe MIB "leaves" by killing all the candidates?

Very possible!

Ooooh!! That's right! Excellent way to connect again to S1!

There is still one other way to get off the island... The Elizabeth.

I don't know how he actually leaves, but I think he can't leave until he wins "the game, and the game doesn't end until all the people (the candidates) that could possible replace his opponent (Jacob) are dead.  "The game," in my opinion, being a battle between good and evil for the fate of mankind.

Is it possible that Locke flies them off-island?  We found out last night that Locke had flying experience, which is how his father got in the condition he is in Alt timeline.  There have been theories that somehow alt Locke will be reincarnated into Flocke...

Okay, this really makes no sense to me as I write it.  Can anyone take this somewhere plausible, or am I just reaching too hard?

Maybe they use Jacob's ashes to make MiB vulnerable. Kill him. Then when he dies Locke comes back to .... nah to tough.

But what about alt timeline Locke?  He can fly as well...although the flight with him and his father obviously did not go well.  What about the theories out there that somehow, alt-Locke merges with island-Flocke?  Can that work?

This is not seeming plausible as I type.  Is there anyone out there who can make more sense of it?

Perhaps they already left the island and this is just a way of equalling everything out. What happened happened except what didn't happen hasn't happened yet....
