One thing I've always hated about Smokey is he only kills people by tossing them around.  In the Pilot episode, the pilot is shown all torn up, and he tore off the one dude's arm, but pretty much every other scene of Smokey destruction has been disappointing, from Eko to killing the Widmore dudes this episode.

I found it a pity that Locke didn't have bullet holes in his shirt. It can't be that they didn't hit him once !  :(

I thought that too.  His smokey form makes clothes imperious too!  I can live with that as an explanation.

If his smoke could only take the form of human flesh casuing him to be naked and look for clothes everytime (Time Travelers Wife), then yes you are right no bullet holes is dumb. But since his entire being is made out of smoke, no bullet holes is acceptable. Besides, we have unibomber MiB that can whip up a MacGyver bomb in 2 minutes that can count down faster when the wires are pulled and detonate the 4 bricks of C4 that only cause a small hole in a submerged submarine that seems to take 10 minutes to sink to worry about.
