Penny running the stadium steps?

I watched H.E.A. for the fourth time today and when I saw Penny running the stadium steps, it hit me that she might be training for Widmore's Sailboat race.
Maybe she is trying to earn her father's respect like Des did?

Or am I just suffering the effects of watching too much Lost?

Interesting idea! If there weren't only 5 episodes left that would be a good storyline for the alt. Who knows, maybe they can/will work this in.

Gives me an interesting idea - what if the island is like some sort of time nexus?  So that for example if you come to the island in any timeline, original or alt, you come to the same manifestation of the island?  So that if Alt Penny comes to the island, she'll be there with all of our "regular" timeline people, including regular Desmond.

Definitely an interesting idea.  They may have time to refer to it, but it can't be a whole plot line, just not enough time left.   

They really could spin off a few completely new shows if they were so inclined:

Miles and Sawyer in a cop show, guest starring Ana Lucia (and they can have Kate running through a scene once in a while!);
Hurley's dysfunctional family in a sitcom (I see dead funny people!);
Jack and Juliet in a hospital drama, guest starring Ethan;
Ben and Locke in a high school setting, guest starring Artz and Alex;
Desmond and Penny in a romantic comedy, with baby Charlie;
and of course Jacob and MIB as the new Odd Couple!

Then all the characters can make crossover cameos in each other's shows!

Excellent!  I would watch every single one of those shows.
