"Doesn't change that we're gonna..."
« on: April 07, 2010, 01:51:21 AM »
What was Zoe about to tell Desmond before Sayid attacked her guys? She asked why Desmond was suddently so cooperative, Dez says "a lot can happen in 20 minutes"...she says she thought they fried his brain, then says "whatever...doesn't change that we're gonna..."

Zoe seemed almost sarcastic (or suspicious, maybe?) about whatever Desmond went through, and seemed like she was saying whatever he DID go through was irrelevant considering what they were about to do to him. Maybe. lol. Maybe Sayid was actually right and Widmore's people ARE extremely dangerous. I'm not thinking so right now, but who knows.

Any idea/clues/theories as to what Widmore and his people are gonna do?

No ideas on this myself but I thought I heard her say "...WHAT we're gonna..." not "...THAT we're gonna..."

My guess is he is the bunny now.  They are going to send him back in time to stop MIB from doing something.

I say they're going to send him to the Donkey Wheel -- they have to explain why an "Island" is screwed down by a DW, don't they? -- and have him not just turn it but totally "unscrew" the Island, "uncork" the EM energy it is sitting on top of and that will reset everything (but Desmond will not survive).

That's intirguing. Not sure though, since the whole Widmore experiment was testing whether Desmond COULD survive a run in with a ridiculous amout of EM. I like the thought about Des going to the Donkey Wheel though. On board with this theory.

But why does Des go from telling Widmore he's totally committed to what he needs - just tell me what you want me to do.  Then along comes Sayid who says come with me.  And Des is all "okey dokey" it going with him.

What's up with that?

Maybe at this point he remembers the 'old' Sayid and figures he is safe with him and they can work together. OR perhaps he didn't want to help Widmore at all and was going to get away from him at some point to do what he thinks he needs to do so was just placating Widmore by saying he was with him.

Maybe Widmore told him to go with Sayid?

That could be possible since Eloise seems to know what is going on so must be connected to MIB and Jacob. Perhaps Widmore is doing some sort of Long Con that will ulitmately put him on the side of MIB?? I don't trust either Hawking at this point!

i think des knows what he needs to do, and whatever that is, he needs the 815ers to help him.  he sees sayid and recognizes him, but doesn't know that he has been 'claimed' therefore he follows sayid thinking they will go to the 815ers.  while at the same time in the alt universe, he is in the limo asking for the manifest from flight 815 so that he can contact the ones he needs from the plane.

Maybe Widmore told him to go with Sayid?

Then Widmore should have sent Dez out into the jungle by himself lol. He wasted some valuable manpower having Desmond escorted out there if all he really wanted was for Dez to go with Sayid.
