"The" Something Titles are the best..
« on: February 26, 2010, 04:42:24 PM »
It seems like episodes that are called, "The ...." something are always really good, so I'm expecting a lot from this episode...

Just a few examples:
The Constant
The Incident
The Variable
The Beginning of the End
The Long Con
The Substitute

This thread reminds me of a Gary Larson Far Side book (remember those) and it had an index in the back. Each letter was blank except for 'T' which had all the cartoons listed as:
The one about dinosaurs pg. 74
The one about vikings pg. 28
The one about laundry pg. 55

Still makes me giggle to this day.

I'm actually more excited for the episodes just before that. Don't want to spoil the titles for anyone, but I am very excited to see the two leading up to the Finale. I am stoked about THE END too, but I think I'm apprehensive because I don't want it to be over.

Of course the "something" titles are the best, that's like half of the episodes of LOST!  tee hee!  They do have a lot of mystery surrounding them so I can't wait to see what the package actually refers to.

I want the answers...I want the "Aha's"...but I don't want THE END :)

The conundrum of a good mystery!  Wanting solutions, but dreading having to leave this little world that one has come to love.

I'm often on the edge of pain as I come to the end of a suspense novel . . . the stack of pages in my right hand getting thinner, knowing that (if it's a good one) the remaining bits will be full of resolution, but also in early mourning for these characters who now occupy part of my (oh so tiny) brain.

In this case - the Tivo list getting short doesn't pack quite the wallop as the last few pages against the hardback, but this is an awfully good mystery & I will miss this place and these people . . . and you guys, too!
