He's a Brit. His parents are from India.

At the same time, these guys know us Losties scour over every minor detail. If it's a prop error, boo on whoever's job that is.

I know he's British ... I was speaking in the context of him knowing his own character.  I have a suspicion we probably know more about the characters than the actors themselves do though ...  ;D
