Sayid's passport?
« on: February 04, 2010, 10:48:05 AM »
Not sure if its been mentioned, but anyone notice that Sayid's passport was listed as "Iran" rather than "Iraq"?
Thought that was an interesting change, but not really sure how that could have changed.

It looks like Iraq to me.  You can see the line of the q coming up.

no, look at the right page, the printed words. That link has a blow up of it attached to the pic as well. Wow, what a catch!

Excellent catch! I kept trying to make something of his passport, but couldn't read it. Thanks for the blow up!

The handwriting part looks like "Iraq" (I think that's the card you had to customs officials saying where you will be staying in the country and all that).  But yes, the PRINTED part clearly says "Iran."  Interesting...!  I'd have to say this is a prop error since the writing differs from the print.  But very good catch indeed!

We don't know how much things have changed in the alternate timeline. Could be related to that.

Is it weird that I thought the same thing? lol

It isn't a fake passport made by CIA? Blame CIA.
This is what I will conclude too, if it's part of the story and not a prop error.
