I'm going to go against the grain and say Jacob did not inhabit Sayid's body. I think something may have changed Sayid (like it changed Ben) but I don't think Sayid is now Jacob.
i wouldnt be surprised if sayid starts wearing guyliner and never ages.....
I thought that role would be Hurley's actually

When the others put Sayid in the water they didn't know why it was dirty, but they also didn't know that Jacob was dead.
Hurley told it later. The leader cut his hand and tried if the water would still heal and put Sayid in it.
Maybe the water took more time to heal Sayid, because it was not pure anymore.

That is more than likely why.  Cause Sayid is not dead or taken over

Jacob is the only one who knows how to change the water filter and he's dead.  Which reminds me...if I die can someone come over and change the water filter at my house.  Lacking a better explanation, I'm going with it...JK :)

There's a shot of the water later, before Sayid wakes up... I think it's after Hurley invites him to visit... and from what it looks like to me, the water is turning clear again, which would support the theory that Jacob is inhabiting Sayid.

There was another thread about this question. When I went back to the scene to look at it, it was hard to tell either way, but it looked like the same murky water to me. If it did clear up, I'm sure they will make a point about saying something about it tonight. If it goes unmentioned, I think we can assume it's the same dirty water.

I need to see that. Might rewatch it tomorrow.
