Danielle Rousseau (aka French Chick)
Sayid left the group after torturing Sawyer, something he had promised himself he would never do again. He found a cable running from the ocean, into the jungle, and followed it. He was soon caught in a trap, and taken to Danielle's hideout. Danielle has been on the island for 16 years. She was part of a science team on an expedition, when they heard the numbers being transmitted and stopped to check it out. After two months, her team became sick, and she was forced to kill them. She also gave birth to a daughter, named Alex, who was kidnapped by The Others. Danielle has helped the survivors by showing them where to get dynamite for blowing open the hatch, but she also kidnapped Claire's baby, Aaron, in an attempt to trade it in exchange for her daughter with The Others. This effort failed, and Sayid and Charlie recovered Aaron, returning him to Claire.
