The audience of Lost has been looking for something since Season One and the night that Claire woke up in the caves screaming that someone was attacking her. We called them the Others because they are mercilessly at cross purposes to our group of Losties from Oceanic 815. We figured that they had a leader and guessed that it was everyone from Tom Friendly to the erstwhile Jacob to enigmatic Richard until we realized by the end of Season Three that it was Ben. Now we seem to be looking for a bad guy -- the person to aim our energy and anger at, the person to defeat in order for our heroes to be free and equal. The advertising trailers for Season Four have suggested that the freighter folks are bringing worse trouble than any we have known on the island thus far. So we've been watching, waiting for a name. Charles Widmore seems now to be on the short list of people to call villain. But I've got news for you. The writers of Lost are screaming at us that there is one villain and his name is Benjamin Linus. No other character in the Lost universe is more of a lying manipulator than he is. No one else has stooped lower to reach his goals. The audience seems prepared to forgive him while they castigate Locke for misguided decisions, Jack for arrogance and Michael for working for personal reasons. I suggest we redirect our judgment where it belongs.

4x08_WidmorePapers.jpg According to Tom (who, as it has been long speculated, turns out is gay - not that there's anything wrong with that), Charles Widmore is responsible for the fake Oceanic 815 discovered at the bottom of the Ocean. Of course, we previously heard from Widmore's people that Ben staged the fake plane, and that is one of the many reasons they are interested in him. In that account, Widmore went to great lengths to recover the Black Box, which he wouldn't have done had he put it there. So, who is responsible for the staged plane crash? My bet is on Ben, and that Tom's "story" is just a way to get Michael on board with their plan. What do you think? Let us know in the comments.

4x08_KevinJohnsonPassport.jpg It's hard to get any useful information from what you already know is a fake passport, but here is a closer look for those of you interested in KJ's credentials. We know Ben doesn't have any trouble getting fake passports, he has a drawer full of them, so it's no big surprise that he's able to hook Michael up with one. 03202008a.jpgLast week, in episode 4x07, Ji Yeon, we received plenty of reveals, including Jin's eminent death (maybe), Sun getting off of the island as part of the Oceanic 6, as well as her safely having her and Jin's baby. But it is the final reveal of the episode that will lead us into this week's fantastic looking installment, Meet Kevin Johnson. Last week, just before the credits rolled, we finally got a glimpse of Michael, who's posing as a janitor on the freighter and was referred to by the Captain as Kevin Johnson. But just who Kevin Johnson is, we don't yet know, nor do we know any other details about what Michael has been through since leaving the island at the end of season 2. And although this episode will un-doubtably fill in many juicy details we've probably been dying to know, there is no doubt in my mind that it will also create even more questions. This is nothing new, but Meet Kevin Johnson comes on the eve of a five week hiatus of the show. It appears that we will have plenty to talk about.

The rest of this article may contain spoilers on tonight's episode.

4x07 Michael's BackLooks like Michael has FINALLY returned as...(dun dun DUN!) Kevin Johnson. We get a quick shot of him on the deck of the boat, hiding behind two crewmen during the first of the episode, and finally get to meet him at the end.

Oceanic-Air.com: Michael's DrawingsWhen "THE" is entered in the "From City" field, and "BOY" is entered in the "To City" field on the official ABC site, http://www.oceanic-air.com in 2005 (may no longer work), we see the pillar of smoke at the top of the page start moving. We then also see some of Michael's drawings (including the one shown on the show of him after the accident) and letters to Walt.

Michael is drawing a picture of an aquaduct design made of bamboo when Jack comes to talk to him. This will allow them to separate the drinking water from water used for showers and other purposes. Click the image below to view a larger image:
