During the flashback footage in 4x02, "Confirmed Dead", we get to see a clip of the Christiane I, which many of you will remember is the ship from the recent ARG (alternate reality game) find815. In this episode of LOST, the Christiane I is involved in the discovery of the wreckage of Flight 815 at the bottom of the Sunda Trench.
Although we've known for some time (Season 3) that the rest of the world believes that Oceanic Flight 815 was found at the bottom of the ocean, with bodies intact, it wasn't until "Confirmed Dead" that we actually got to see for ourselves the discovery of the 815 wreckage. But, we know the real Flight 815 wreckage is on the island! What's going on here? Cover up?
From "Confirmed Dead", the entire seems to be astounded by the discovery of the wreckage of Oceanic Flight 815 at the bottom of the Sunda Trench. According to reports, all passengers are dead, forever entombed in the remains of the airship at the bottom of the Indian Ocean.
In Season 4 of LOST on ABC, "Confirmed Dead", Frank Lepidus is sinking airplane models in his fish tank when he catches a news update on the discovery of Flight 815. Becoming slightly agitated at the report, Lawnmower Man calls in to let the people know they got some facts wrong. That isn't Flight 815 pilot Seth Norris at the bottom of the Sunda Trench! Why? The body doesn't have a wedding ring, and Seth would never take off his wedding ring! Then we learn Frank was suppose to be piloting 815 on that fateful September day in 2004, in place of his buddy Seth. Don't upset the Lawnmower Man!
