What's Hot: Season 6 Start Date Announced
A closer look at the closing scene from "Meet Kevin Johnson" reveals the shooter that takes down Carl and Rousseau. There's only a few frames of the killer, but we do get a glimpse of him. We have a large pic, plus an animated image available for a closer look after the jump. Tell us what you think in the comments below!
According to Tom (who, as it has been long speculated, turns out is gay - not that there's anything wrong with that), Charles Widmore is responsible for the fake Oceanic 815 discovered at the bottom of the Ocean. Of course, we previously heard from Widmore's people that Ben staged the fake plane, and that is one of the many reasons they are interested in him. In that account, Widmore went to great lengths to recover the Black Box, which he wouldn't have done had he put it there. So, who is responsible for the staged plane crash? My bet is on Ben, and that Tom's "story" is just a way to get Michael on board with their plan. What do you think? Let us know in the comments.
We've got a lot of time to speculate this. Who was it that killed Carl, and shot Rousseau - and is she dead? Of course, the old "Who Shot..." cliffhanger has been done before, on Dallas it was "Who Shot JR?", and on the Simpsons, "Who Shot Mr. Burns?". Assuming it wasn't Kristin Shepard or Maggie Simpson, who do you think fired the shots? Did Ben send someone to snipe Danielle and Carl? Or is it someone from the boat? Remember, Lawnmower Man did take the copter out again, so perhaps the commandos are now on the island.
If you ask me, any problems with this episode can be summed up as such: "too much Michael, too little Walt". We only get a brief shot of Walt in the window of his grandma's house. The camera angle and lighting used appear to be an attempt to perhaps hide Walt's increased age and height. All the Christmas Trees around indicate this episode takes place some time in December of 2004. So, does this confirm that the Walt on the island, that motivates Locke to get out of the Dharma grave is not Walt? Is it Jacob manifesting as Walt?
It's hard to get any useful information from what you already know is a fake passport, but here is a closer look for those of you interested in KJ's credentials. We know Ben doesn't have any trouble getting fake passports, he has a drawer full of them, so it's no big surprise that he's able to hook Michael up with one. Here's a closer look at the hand drawn map to the Temple that Ben passed along to Rousseau, Alex, and Carl in "Meet Kevin Johnson". The map is similar to the hand drawn map Dan and Charlotte used to find The Tempest Station. It's obviously a different map though. All you island charters, get to charting! Last week, in episode 4x07, Ji Yeon, we received plenty of reveals, including Jin's eminent death (maybe), Sun getting off of the island as part of the Oceanic 6, as well as her safely having her and Jin's baby. But it is the final reveal of the episode that will lead us into this week's fantastic looking installment, Meet Kevin Johnson. Last week, just before the credits rolled, we finally got a glimpse of Michael, who's posing as a janitor on the freighter and was referred to by the Captain as Kevin Johnson. But just who Kevin Johnson is, we don't yet know, nor do we know any other details about what Michael has been through since leaving the island at the end of season 2. And although this episode will un-doubtably fill in many juicy details we've probably been dying to know, there is no doubt in my mind that it will also create even more questions. This is nothing new, but Meet Kevin Johnson comes on the eve of a five week hiatus of the show. It appears that we will have plenty to talk about.
