What's Hot: Season 6 Start Date Announced
The Locke we saw tonight was certainly a different John Locke than we're used to seeing. Tonight he was assertive, confident, sure of himself, and most of all, he had a plan and a purpose...oh, and a pig. Locke took Richard and Ben to go find himself at the beechcraft, give himself the compass, and give himself the instructions that he knew he'd need in order to fulfill the remainder of his destiny. Kinda weird, huh? I know many of you are screaming paradox, but I hate that word, so I'll be referring to it as spontaneous happenstance from now on. To see the scene again, follow the jump!
During the flashback footage in 4x02, "Confirmed Dead", we get to see a clip of the Christiane I, which many of you will remember is the ship from the recent ARG (alternate reality game) find815. In this episode of LOST, the Christiane I is involved in the discovery of the wreckage of Flight 815 at the bottom of the Sunda Trench.
From "Confirmed Dead", the entire seems to be astounded by the discovery of the wreckage of Oceanic Flight 815 at the bottom of the Sunda Trench. According to reports, all passengers are dead, forever entombed in the remains of the airship at the bottom of the Indian Ocean.
In a flashback scene from "Confirmed Dead", the second episode of the fourth season of LOST, Frank drops a toy airplane into a fish tank while watching the news footage of Oceanic 815's discovery. There's a mark on top of the plane, which resembles a Dharma Logo. Or, maybe just a hole. It's hard to tell due to the blurriness. You make the call!
In Season 4 of LOST on ABC, "Confirmed Dead", Frank Lepidus is sinking airplane models in his fish tank when he catches a news update on the discovery of Flight 815. Becoming slightly agitated at the report, Lawnmower Man calls in to let the people know they got some facts wrong. That isn't Flight 815 pilot Seth Norris at the bottom of the Sunda Trench! Why? The body doesn't have a wedding ring, and Seth would never take off his wedding ring! Then we learn Frank was suppose to be piloting 815 on that fateful September day in 2004, in place of his buddy Seth. Don't upset the Lawnmower Man!
In 3x14, "Expose", we get a better look at the tray in the Pearl Station with the cigarette and other objects. Apparently, these have been laying around for quite some time. When Ben asked why the station was left open, Juliet replied that Tom had been in there earlier. Perhaps he was taking a smoke break? Also, interesting, Ben told Juliet to have the station entrance covered with the plane.
Another Oceanic plane was spotted in 3x07, a nice little easter egg for Oceanic fans. The ubiquitous airline flashes its tail again.
When Eko has his dream vision at the beginning of "?", there are a series of images that flash quickly. These all appear to be images from previous episodes of LOST, and include:
The Burning Plane
Eko's necklace
Marvin Candle from the Orientation film
The Teddy Bear
Others
When Eko looks down from the cliff, he sees what appears to be a giant question mark inscribed in the ground below (others believe it is just a circle). He climbs back down to study the ground, and discovers that salt has been mixed in with the earth to prevent anything from growing. It appears the plane fell on the dot of the question mark, which is where the entrance to The Pearl station is buried.
A close-up of Tom's toy plane, which Kate took back into her possession after the Halliburton case was found. It shows that there is no Oceanic logo on the plane, and that it appears to be a DC-3 prop plane (unlike the Boeing 777 Flight 815 travels on).
A lot of people are convinced the DHARMA logo is on the plane. But, it's not. This image shows that the marks that existed on the plane before the show was ever conceived are what people are confusing to be the DHARMA logo. Despite appearances, there is no swan (or other DHARMA logo) image in the marks. Since this investigation has been up, I've been contacted by several people who work in the airline industry that have confirmed these marks are made when repairs are made and sections are reinforced.
This screenshot clearly shows there are three seats on the end (A, B and C), as opposed to a two seat configuration.
