news_photo_logo.jpgABC is starting a new online experience to get us through the long hiatus. Lost University will open on September 22nd. (anniversary of 815 crash) The website is up and running and you can sign up for e-mail updates. There is not alot of information on the site yet. Tonight's two part issue brings with it the conclusion of LOST's fifth season. There is sure to be a lot of action, mystery, death and game changing in "The Incident". Prepare to have your minds blown with the exciting season finale, "The Incident". Details after the jump.

5x15-09 follow the leader.jpgLOST producers had to triple their guyliner budget for tonight's Richard centric episode, "Follow the Leader". But, will that manscara investment be a worthy payoff for fans? Richard has long been one of LOST's greatest enigmas: he is seemingly ageless, has kept the same look for the last 60 years (except that one day in the 70's where he hippied out), wears eyeliner, and leads the Others without really leading them. Is he an alien, an ancient Egyptian god or pharoah, Ponce de Leon, an island native? Tonight's episode looks like it may give us some hints, and at the very least, provide more mythology for fans to ponder heading into the two part season finale. It all goes down tonight on ABC! Follow the jump for more details and a preview of "Follow the Leader".

5x15_juliet.jpgAfter tonight's episode, I think the word running through most people's thoughts was "wow". Next week's offering has a lot to live up to, and with a Richard centric episode, it just might deliver. Follow the jump to get a second look at the trailer for LOST Season 5 Episode 15, "Follow the Leader". Is Richard the leader, or the one following the leader(s)?

Daniel Faraday has been noticeably absent from the time traveling Dharma work men for quite some time, but he finally made an appearance in "Some Like it Hoth". So, what exactly has Dan been up to off-island, in Ann Arbor? Hanging out with the DeGroots? Trying to figure out a way to get his fellow future folk back to their proper time? Or perhaps studying up on those pesky rules of time travel, and figuring out a way to change things without collapsing the universe - or at least to find out what can be changed? We know Desmond is the Constant, so does that make Faraday "The Variable"? Strap in for more time travel fun with tonight's episode! More info after the jump.

manhattan-locke-dead-is-dead.jpgEvery so often, LOST hits us with a mind-blowing episode that reminds us why we love this show so much. Expectations are running high that tonight's offering, "Dead is Dead", will be that kind of episode. After all, last week teased us with a trip back to the future where a resurrected Locke finally had the chance to confront his killer, Ben Linus. Tonight, it looks like we'll see more of this confrontation as well as some of Ben's off-island goings on. Will we learn more about Ben and his relationship with the island and it's mysterious powers? What is Locke's destiny, now that he has conquered death and returned to the island? Will we finally see Richard Alpert traversing the island atop smokey, "yee-hawing" all the while, to judge Ben's transgressions (and then have Smokey eat him)? Tune in tonight for the Ben-Locke showdown! More details after the jump!

watercooler.gifWhatever Happened, Happened gave us some interesting scenes, if not a compelling overall episode. Still, we got to see the return of Locke, Ben being sent off to be Otherized, and a couple of great conversations between Hurley and Miles. In this week's Talking LOST, Astro and I discuss the inevitability of stale snacks, free will versus pre-destination, the relationship between Widmore and Eloise, and our future careers as inept vigilante super heroes. Somehow, it all related to last night's LOST (I think). Follow the link to read our conversation.

Last week we were all stunned (or perhaps not so stunned) to see Sayid shoot young Ben Linus, thinking that it is his purpose in life to put an end to the horrors that Ben will commit as he grows up. Of course, Sayid didn't stop to think that perhaps this is what always happened, and the reason Ben grew up to be such a jerk was because some crazy Iraqi shot him in the jungle when he was a child. Tonight, in episode 5.11, "Whatever Happened, Happened" we get to see just what young Ben's fate is, and if Daniel was right and whatever happened, happened. Feel free to let us know in the comments what you're hoping for in tonight's episode. Personally, I'm hoping for some Richard Alpert and some Locke (how long has it been since we saw him?). So let us know what you think. Or, discuss tonight's episode in the Hype Thread! For more details and a preview, just turn the page.

04012009_5x10_oldham.jpgThis week on Lost we had a whole lot of angsty moments across the years for Sayid. What we didn't have was Locke, Desmond, a catfight, Miles, a plausible reason for Sayid's distrust of Ben, Daniel, torture, Rose & Bernard, a perspective on rural life, or any interesting kind of action for about 52 minutes.

DamonLindelof.jpgNote: The following story was an April Fools joke. However, regardless of its lack of truth, it is very entertaining and funny. Enjoy.

In a bizarre series of events, not unlike many of the plot-lines in the veteran island mystery drama, LOST co-creator, executive producer, showrunner and writer, Damon Lindelof, has abruptly broken all ties with ABC and quit the show, just a few weeks before the hit series' fifth season finale. The unexpected departure has left ABC executives and LOST producers scrambling to quiet concerns over the series future. Lindelof has largely been regarded as the driving force behind LOST, and the main source and inspiration for the shows overall direction. His premature exit has many industry insiders questioning whether or not the sci-fi pop-phenom will even return for it's sixth and final season next year. More after the jump.

watercooler.gifIt's Thursday! That means it's time to talk LOST with your friends, family and coworkers - pondering the mysteries and implications of the latest episode together in efforts to keep sanity loosely grasped. Astro and I tackled the latest episode, "He's Our You" in an online chat last night. In this edition of Talking LOST, we discuss once again the Alternate Timeline Theory versus the It's Always Happened This Way Theory, Hippie Alpert, Sawyer's handling of the situation, and the preview for next week's episode. DocArzt also drops in and sets us on a new investigation, which you will only see here in a behind the scenes sort of way. Follow the link below for all the fun!

Thumbnail image for segmentRatingsIcon.jpg"Namaste", the ninth episode of LOST's Season 5, followed the well regarded "LaFleur" and a week long hiatus. Although the episode started off with ratings shakier than Lawnmower Man's touchdown of 316 onto Craphole International, viewers gave the last segments of the episode strong scores. 3252009_3x09_frank.jpgDid you wonder what happened to the plane after the odd assortment of O6ers flashed away? In "Namaste" we learn that plus a lot of other stuff. For one thing, we now know that Frank is the best damn pilot southwest of the Hudson. Also, we find out who the baby is, that Sun is really handy with a paddle, and that Dharma jumpsuits come in a wide variety of sizes.

watercooler.gifOne of the best parts about the experience of LOST, is talking about a new episode after it airs with other fans, coworkers, family members, friends, and random people you know via the web that follow the show. In this segment, we've decided to give you an inside look into the chats Astro and I engage in after each episode. It's not focused, and definitely unscripted - but we hope it is at least entertaining, sometimes insightful, and perhaps provides an interesting glimpse behind the curtain here at SWLS.
