The Little Prince confirmed hiatus-long speculation that Jin is still alive, and also introduced us for the first time to Danielle's crew in a 1988 time warp. 5x04 "The Little Prince" is the first episode of season 5 that has really divided SWLS. A 7.43 rating is the lowest of the season but it does not tell the whole story. This episode has earned a season low rating of 5 by four voters, with a couple of 10. The main point of contention appears to be the lack of "surprises" in this episode and what constitutes a WOW moment.

When we saw in "Because You Left" that someone wanted blood samples to prove Kate's relationship to Aaron, it raised a lot of speculation. The big three guesses were Ben, Claire's mom and Widmore. The problem with that much guessing is that when one of them turns out right, we all end up feeling like "we knew it." Even if we didn't "know" know, we think we figured it out because the thought occurred to us before it was shown. This makes what should be a big reveal end up anticlimactic. That, and the fact that it followed the extremely popular "Jughead," is probably why this episode was a bit of a letdown for me.

In 5x04, "The Little Prince", Locke and company comes across some wreckage on the beach after flashing away from their high seas skiff chase. Locke kicks over a can which reads BESIXDOUZE. BE-SIX-DOUZE, or B612 (french) is the name of an asteroid. According to Wiki, the asteroid is named as a reference to... wait for it... "The Little Prince", who lived on an asteroid named B612. Sun receives a package at the hotel in 5x04, "The Little Prince". Inside the package is a gun hidden in chocolates, some photos of Jack and Ben at the funeral home, and several pages of Surveillance files. A close look at the files reveal they aren't related to anything on LOST at all. Or does it? An investigation into the text on the files has revealed that the source of the text originates from here. A very strange game site where users try to solve crimes set in the fictional county of Yaknapatawpha - which is created and used in the writing of William Faulkner. As the losties began to flash through time on the island, the inevitable question of whether or not they could run into themselves starting popping up everywhere. "The Little Prince" answered that, as Locke caught a far off glimpse of the hatch light they he caused, and Sawyer watched the birth of Aaron take place at near arm's length (where Kate was present). In 5x04, "The Little Prince", we find out Jin is alive! Somehow, he has traveled into the past to the late 80's, where he is rescued by Danielle Rousseau and her team! We finally get to meet the ill-fated Robert and Montaun in one of the best payoff scenes for long time LOST fans yet. Continue reading for pics!

LOST fans were treated to a thrill ride with last week's "Jughead". Two of the biggest surprises were the revelations that Charles Widmore is "Jones", an Other on the island in the 1950's. More subtle, were the small clues that helped us know that Ellie is Mrs. Hawking, and Dan's mother. The segment ratings show what a strong and steady performer "Jughead" was, with each segment building on the momentum of the previous. That excitement carried over into the overall ratings, giving "Jughead" high marks amongst SWLS members. It all continues tonight with Episode 4 of Season 5, "The Little Prince". Is Aaron the little prince? Who is it that is trying to take him away from Kate? Is Charlotte going to die? We have a lot of questions for tonight's serving of LOST, let's hope it delivers.
