What's Hot: Season 6 Start Date Announced
Tonight's episodes of Lost was like an episode on crack, and I mean that in a good way. We're now being led into a finale where Locke is apparantly off on a mission to kill Jacob, and Jack is trying to detonate a hydrogen bomb in order to save his people. If you'd like to get another look at the preview for next week, follow the jump and take a look.
LOST producers had to triple their guyliner budget for tonight's Richard centric episode, "Follow the Leader". But, will that manscara investment be a worthy payoff for fans? Richard has long been one of LOST's greatest enigmas: he is seemingly ageless, has kept the same look for the last 60 years (except that one day in the 70's where he hippied out), wears eyeliner, and leads the Others without really leading them. Is he an alien, an ancient Egyptian god or pharoah, Ponce de Leon, an island native? Tonight's episode looks like it may give us some hints, and at the very least, provide more mythology for fans to ponder heading into the two part season finale. It all goes down tonight on ABC! Follow the jump for more details and a preview of "Follow the Leader".
LOST takes a day off next week, although we do get a new special. Episode 5x14, "The Variable" will air in two weeks. You can take a second look at the preview attached to "Some Like it Hoth" after the jump. It looks like things continue to head south for our time-traveling losties. Get your speculation on in the comments below.
The title of this week's episode of Lost has one of the most intriguing titles ever, Some Like It Hoth. It is interesting to note that Jack, Hurley and the gang are in 1977, the same year Star Wars debuted, however I have yet to see a movie theatre on the island. So does the title have something to do with the Hoth like environment around the Donkey Wheel? Do Miles and Hurley sneak off and catch a premiere of the show? Or perhaps the temperatures drop so fiercely in Dharmaville that Jack and Sawyer are forced to cut Hurley open in order to stay warm (And you thought they smelled bad on the outside). One thing is for sure, many of us can't wait to see what cute and relevant way "Hoth" plays into tonight's episode of Lost. So let us know what you think. Or, discuss tonight's episode in the Hype Thread! For more details and a preview, just turn the page.

Every so often, LOST hits us with a mind-blowing episode that reminds us why we love this show so much. Expectations are running high that tonight's offering, "Dead is Dead", will be that kind of episode. After all, last week teased us with a trip back to the future where a resurrected Locke finally had the chance to confront his killer, Ben Linus. Tonight, it looks like we'll see more of this confrontation as well as some of Ben's off-island goings on. Will we learn more about Ben and his relationship with the island and it's mysterious powers? What is Locke's destiny, now that he has conquered death and returned to the island? Will we finally see Richard Alpert traversing the island atop smokey, "yee-hawing" all the while, to judge Ben's transgressions (and then have Smokey eat him)? Tune in tonight for the Ben-Locke showdown! More details after the jump!
Want a second look at the trailer at the end of tonight's episode for next week's Dead is Dead? We've got it here for you. Locke is back! Ben survives! I guess they will have something to talk about next week. Follow the continue reading link to view the preview in glorious YouTube.
Last week we were all stunned (or perhaps not so stunned) to see Sayid shoot young Ben Linus, thinking that it is his purpose in life to put an end to the horrors that Ben will commit as he grows up. Of course, Sayid didn't stop to think that perhaps this is what always happened, and the reason Ben grew up to be such a jerk was because some crazy Iraqi shot him in the jungle when he was a child. Tonight, in episode 5.11, "Whatever Happened, Happened" we get to see just what young Ben's fate is, and if Daniel was right and whatever happened, happened. Feel free to let us know in the comments what you're hoping for in tonight's episode. Personally, I'm hoping for some Richard Alpert and some Locke (how long has it been since we saw him?). So let us know what you think. Or, discuss tonight's episode in the Hype Thread! For more details and a preview, just turn the page.
Want a second look at the trailer at the end of tonight's episode for next week's What Ever Happened, Happened? We've got it here for you. While we ponder the ramification of a young Ben being shot by Sayid, perhaps the distraction of next week's sneak peek will be welcomed. Who is He? Who is Our? And, who is You? Such a simple title, yet so intriguing. Tonight's "He's Our You", the tenth episode of Season 5, will hopefully answer at least those questions. LOST returns from a one week hiatus tonight, with "Namaste"! Two weeks ago, "LaFleur" filled in some of the three year gap in the lives of our Losties between the exit and return of the Oceanic 6. Led by Sawyer, our friends are now heavily entrenched in Dharma - oh, and also stuck in the 1970's. Tonight's title seems to promise more Dharma goodness. Preview and details after the jump.
Locke is back from the dead, and ready to save the island in tonight's episode, "La Fleur". Of course, what might be a problem is that that although most everyone has made it to the same "where", they didn't all arrive at the same "when". Jack, Kate and Hurley have arrived in the 70's or 80's, where some of our losties seem to have assimilated into the Dharma Initiative. How and why this has happened will be explored in tonight's eighth episode of season 5. Don't forget, LOST is taking a one week hiatus next week, so we hope tonight's offering leaves plenty to ponder during the break. More details about tonight's episode after the jump.
Last week, "This Place is Death", returned the highest average rating of any episode this year by SWLS members. Tonight, we can only hope to meet or exceed that with episode 6, "316". Could the enigmatic title refer to a compass bearing? A flight number? A bible verse? (place your bets) Anything is possible in the world that is LOST! Be sure to watch tonight's episode with us, in the live group watch! Follow the jump for more details and a preview of "316".
This Place is DEATH! Kind of a catchy title, no? The island has certainly been a place of death for many of its tourists, but is that what the title is referring to? Could it be a reference to the sickness that infects Danielle's crew, forcing her to kill them all (including her beloved Robert)? Find out tonight, in Season 5's fifith episode! Let us know what you think of the episode in the comments section below. For a preview and more information, click the continue reading link.
LOST fans were treated to a thrill ride with last week's "Jughead". Two of the biggest surprises were the revelations that Charles Widmore is "Jones", an Other on the island in the 1950's. More subtle, were the small clues that helped us know that Ellie is Mrs. Hawking, and Dan's mother. The segment ratings show what a strong and steady performer "Jughead" was, with each segment building on the momentum of the previous. That excitement carried over into the overall ratings, giving "Jughead" high marks amongst SWLS members. It all continues tonight with Episode 4 of Season 5, "The Little Prince". Is Aaron the little prince? Who is it that is trying to take him away from Kate? Is Charlotte going to die? We have a lot of questions for tonight's serving of LOST, let's hope it delivers.
LOST returned last week via an exciting double dose of Season 5 with "Because You Left" and "The Lie". The new season picked up right where we left off, flashing back and forth between the Oceanic 6 and those still left on the time jumping island. The new episodes gave us a lot to talk about, and much to anticipate. "Jughead", the third episode of Season 5, airs tonight at 9pm EST on ABC. As you prepare for tonight's serving, make sure to check out a State of LOST commentary, as well as the episode recaps. Then hit the continue reading link below to find out more about "Jughead".
The season finale of LOST begins tonight! Well... sort of. The finale has been expanded to a three hour episode, and we get the first hour tonight, and the final two hours in two weeks. LOST once again borrows from "The Wizard of Oz" with thematically relevant title. Thing are coming to a head quickly between the Widmore Commandos, lead by Keamy, and Locke's group as well as Jack's beach group (not to mention Sayid and the rest of the not-penny's-boat people).
More details after the jump!
"I've got a fever, and the prescription is more cabin!" That's probably not how tonight's episode will start, but the fact that the enigmatic cabin is mentioned in the title has LOST fans in eager anticipation of tonight's Locke-centric offering, "Cabin Fever". The pace of the season slowed down with last week's more soap-operish "Something Nice Back Home", but it looks like that may have only been the calm before the storm. "Cabin Fever" looks to deliver for mythology fans tonight on ABC. Last week we found out that Locke and Ben plan to utilize Hurley to find the disappearing cabin, and that plan goes into action in the eleventh episode of the fourth season of LOST. We've previously learned that Ben can use an ancient cave to summon up the Smoke Monster - does that have anything to do with Jacob and his creepy cabin? Who or what exactly is Jacob, and what is his/its relationship to the island? Perhaps tonight's episode will shed some light on those matters. Locke episodes usually deliver, and this one must be super intense, because it's taking three different actors to play the role of John Locke, in an episode that sees a return to the flashbacks of previous seasons (rather than flash forwards).
LOST returned after a long break last week, and according to our poll results and segment ratings, it was a hit. The stakes were high for our losties in "The Shape of Things to Come". A mini-cliffhanger teased that Claire may have been killed in the commando's attack on Othersville. We were relieved to see that Claire survived, only to have Alex killed off one segment later. The episode also featured what seems to be a jump in time and location from Ben, as he awoke in the middle of the Sahara desert... in 2005 (a date which he himself needed to verify was correct). Other highlights included the revealing of Ben's secret room within his secret room, that appears to be an ancient cave, where one can apparently summon and control the Smoke Monster! It all ended with an enigmatic show down between Ben and Chuck... what exactly is the deal with their game?
After an action-packed episode last week, tonight we are treated to "Something Nice Back Home", a Jack-centric episode. More on that, after the jump.
The interrupted fourth season of LOST continues tonight with a brand new episode, "The Shape of Things to Come". Hopefully the momentum that built up in the first half of the season will carry over to the next batch of fresh episodes. Personally, I've been away from LOST and the site for quite a while due to personal reasons (including negotiating and accepting a new full time job) - so my deepest thanks to the awesome staff who have been posting articles and keeping things in order. We are a bit behind on some things, but hope to have them all online soon. Of course, screenshots will be up tonight and we will continue with the episode segment ratings, so be sure to tune in for that during tonight's episode at 10PM Eastern.
Tonight we get a Sayid / Ben centric episode. We've previously learned that Sayid ends up working for Ben in the "future"... but what exactly are they doing, and who exactly are their targets? Is it Widmore's people? Hopefully we'll find out tonight.
