There is a lot going on inside the Lamp Post room, as we find in 5x06, "316". The room is largely occupied by a giant pendulum which swings over a map. This is used in conjunction with a formula scribbled on chalkboards to find windows allowing passage to the island. This room was built long ago, and was used by Dharma to find the island. The room also includes a chart of latitudes and longitudes that is constantly updating. Also, taped to the chalkboard is a photo of the island from 1954 belonging to the US Army. Jack is given a book of printouts detailing flights, including the now infamous 316 the O6 need to be on to return to the island. See pics of all this by clicking the continue reading link below!
