5x16_statue_2.jpgTwo weeks ago, during the season finale of Lost, we got the very first full glimpse of the four-toed statue, face and all, just like we were promised by the producers earlier in the season. However, we were also told that it would be clear just who that statue was depicting, and though some obviously saw clearly who it was, there was nothing to give us the official word on it, and some of you, me included, have remained a bit frustrated at the ambiguity of exactly which Egyptian deity the statue was built to represent.

5x16_tapestry_1.jpgThis question has been quite important since it was first asked over a month ago. Tonight we got to hear the answer, in Latin, from Richard. He said, "He who will save us all." This same latin is the phrase that Jacob weaves on his tapestry as well. So will Jacob save them all? Follow the jump to see it again.

5x16_jacob_mib.jpgThe season 5 finale started out tonight following a young man who we eventually realized was Jacob. His rival, wearing a black shirt while Jacob wore white, showed up just as the Black Rock was arriving. The two had some words and the rival expressed his desire to kill Jacob, and that he would find a loophole, and Jacob made it very clear that he would be waiting right there, under the statue, whenever the rival was ready. Follow the jump to rewatch the opening scene.

lost_5x15_ben_stunned.jpg"Follow the Leader" ended on quite a dramatic and shocking note tonight as Locke revealed to Ben that he wasn't going to see Jacob to reunite with his people. He was going to see Jacob to kill him. Why? Well, your guess is as good as ours, but at this point the stock answer seems to be "The island told me to do it." What was even more interesting was how troubled Richard seemed to be about taking Locke, and the others to Jacob. It almost made me wonder if Ben wasn't the one originally keeping Jacob locked up (remember when Locke first saw Jacob and he whispered, "save me" to him?). What if Richard has played a part in keeping Jacob locked up as well. And what's more, am I the only one who thought that the island and Jacob were one in the same, or linked together in some way? Follow the jump for this video investigation.

033009.laklost.jpg It's time for some spring cleaning. I have all this information, all this conjecturing and theorizing about Lost crammed into my head. I have a serious need to open the door, let the dust mites go scattering, and lay all this stuff out on the floor and organize it!

There are several huge questions that for the narrative have to be addressed in order for the story to resolve. Who are the powers vying for the island? How will the island relate to the struggle? What will the struggle mean for our protagonists? We'll call these three questions our three cleaning boxes. I've heard it said that the best way to sort clutter is to have three boxes marked Throw, Move, Give. It must be very smart to use that system - I wouldn't know! But I can mark our Lost spring cleaning boxes Power, Island and Protagonists. Knowing how us Lost-phytes love to parce words I better clear up what I mean by each of these.

lost5x3promo.jpgPlease Note, the following is a spoiler for episode 3, Jughead. Please read at your own discretion.

This season it appears that SWLS will be getting a little something extra. Starting today, we'll be posting the occasional spoiler for the upcoming episode of the week. This information is due to a reliable source we've recently been approached by, who is interested in passing a long some information on the show. Naturally, our source wishes to remain anonymous, so we'll be referring to him as Jacob. We believe that these spoilers are extremely accurate, but as is always true with a spoiler of this nature, coming from a somewhat unknown source, you should always treat these as gossip and rumor until you see it on the show. We think Jacob's accuracy will be evident, however. In addition, because we have no interest in completely ruining an episode of Lost for the fans, we will be limiting the spoilers we post, or making them somewhat cryptic so as to not definitely give a major reveal away. So enjoy what Jacob has for you this week...

Sledgeweb users loved "Cabin Fever" giving it the highest rating of season 4. The SWLS faithful graced episode 4x11 with an 8.94 rating beating the next highest episode by just over a quarter of a point. An astonishing 92% gave "Cabin Fever" a rating of 8 or higher. There were 3 votes of 6 or lower and we will address those later in this article. The high rating of this episode got me wondering about which episodes were most liked by the users. The following is a numerical order of average rating of each episode.

#1 Cabin Fever 8.94
#2 The Constant 8.68
#3 Confirmed Dead 8.57
#4 Shape of Things 8.47
#5 Beggining of the End 8.46
#6 The Economist 8.37
#7 Ji Yeon 8.06
#8 Meet Kevin Johnson 7.54
#9 Eggtown 7.25
#10 Something Nice 7.04
#11 Other Woman 6.76

It is obvious that SWLS users enjoy episodes that center on the mythology of the island and the more science fiction aspects of the shows. They enjoy episodes that contain many questions and not a lot of answers. Our posters do not enjoy the romantic episodes nearly as much. Lets see why our users liked "Cabin Fever" with such a passion.

4x11_christian.jpgTonight Locke entered the cabin to meet Jacob, and who was there waiting for him...none other than Christian Shepard. But Christian clearly tells Locke, "He can speak for Jacob." So is Christian Jacob, or just a manifestation Jacob is using? You tell us.

4x01_cabinCloserLook.jpgToday I went back and exported nearly 500 jpegs from the cabin scene in LOST 4x01, "The Beginning of the End". I enhanced the photos by adjusting curves to bring out details, and I think this helps solidify a few assumptions of who is in the cabin (or at least, who appears to be in the cabin - or maybe, who the thing in the cabin chooses to manifest itself as). Of course, all of this raises a brand new set of questions for us to consider. For a more detailed look at the cabin sequence, follow the jump and read the rest of this article.

4x01 Eye in Jacob's CabinIn 4x01 just after seeing Jacob / Christian in his rocking chair, a familiar eye pops up at the window scaring Hurley half out of his wits.  But who's eye was it?  Could it have been Locke, in the cabin visiting with Jacob? It seems likely, given that Locke shows up outside the vanished cabin shortly after. And, we know that Locke has some sort of connection with Jacob, he heard Jacob speak, which sent Ben into a jealous fit. Is Locke now taking directions from Jacob? Was Walt's appearance to Locke in the Dharma grave created by Jacob somehow?

4x01 Jacob's CabinIn 4x01 Hurley stumbles across Jacob's ladder... I mean, Cabin.  Upon looking through the window he sees what we'd assume was Jacob sitting in the chair.  However, the shadowy figure in the chair looks an awful lot like Christian Shepard this time around.  Couldn't be, could it? If it's Jacob, why is he sitting in a broke down cabin in the middle of a psychotic fantasy island in a suit and tie... and sneakers? Judge for yourself and let us know your thoughts. Nice shoes, Chrisob.

3x20: Smokey and the ChairIn "3x20", "The Main Behind the Curtain", we finally meet Jacob in a run down shack. Before we catch a glimpse of him, he is invisible. Or is he? On first watch, I thought I spotted Smokey in the chair, but on second watch, dismissed it as a shadow from the bulb of the flashlight. Other viewers have also reported seeing smokey, and on further review, none of the other flashlight shots have a dark center. So, what is going on here? Is smokey present, or is this just a shadow? You can decide.

3x20: Jacob's DogIn "3x20", "The Man Behind the Curtain", Ben takes Locke to visit Jacob. It turns out Jacob is an invisible man living in a run down shack in the middle of the jungle. The interior of the shack is very cluttered, but there is an interesting painting hanging on the wall that Locke takes notice of. It's a dog. Personally, I don't know what type of dog it is, but it is odd looking. If anyone knows the breed, let us know in the comments below.

3x20: Jacob LivesIn 3x20, "The Man Behind The Curtain", we finally get a look at Jacob. It turns out, Ben isn't as nuts as Locke thinks him to be. During Jacob's rage against the shack, Ben is thrown up against a wall. The camera briefly swings back to the chair, and we clearly see another man in the room. So, how do we explain Jacob's invisibility... hmmm....
