042109laklost.jpgWhether or not we're ready, Lost is ending: four episodes to go this season and the final seventeen chapters next season. All of the players are in place. Mainland life has been soundly rejected and life on the island is all that matters.

5x11_hurley_miles.jpgHurley and Miles started a new, special kind of friendship tonight that I hope we see more of in the future. Of course, it does make me worry for MIles a little. Afterall, people who come in contact with Hurley don't always fare so well. But in Whatever Happened, Happened there was some fantastic dialog between the two on the specifics of time travel. Hurley definitely represents many of the feelings the fans have had this season. Follow the jump for a clip of their time travel discussion from tonight.

5x09_claire_3.jpgIf you rewatch the scene where Christian takes Sun into the house, at the end of the scene, if you watch very closely, you'll notice that there is another woman in the room. At the very end, just after Christian says "You have a long road ahead of you," and it goes to a tight push in shot on Sun. Over Sun's shoulder you can clearly see a figure, that appears to be a blond female, move her head. So are we to believe that Claire was in the room with Christian?

Episode 5x06 "316" set a new ratings record with an incredible 9.35 average. SWLS members absolutely loved this episode. 73% of all votes were a perfect 10. 92% of all votes were for scores of 8 or higher. There was a vote one vote each for a rating of 6 or 7. Neither voter posted a reason for those ratings. Viewers want the main characters of Lost to be together and we now have the Oceanic 6 (minus Aaron) back on the island with Sawyer, Jin, Juliet and friends. Watching the Oceanic 6 converge on the same flight with Ben and Frank Lapidus was true television magic. Please go to the next page to see the SWLS users' comments on this outstanding episode.

Thumbnail image for 020109hurley.jpgWe get to take a break from all of the time travel talk with another guest writer, Hurley Rocks Dudes. He explains why exactly Hurley Rocks Dude! Any SWLS user is invited to submit articles to any of the mods. Enjoy!

Hey everybody! I just thought I would share some thoughts with you all and thanks to Jugdish for the opportunity. I thought for a while what I was going to write about, and now I have figured it out. Why not write an article on my favorite character? Obviously that would be Hurley, or Hugo Reyes. Hurley is the most likeable character on LOST for a few reasons. He always provides us with a good laugh, like throwing a hot pocket at Ben, or building a golf course, and even driving the DHARMA van. One of the funniest Hurley moments was when he, Locke, and Ben were visiting Jacob. Hurley and Ben are waiting outside, Hurley opens a candy bar, Ben looks at him, and Hurley thinks for a moment, then tears the candy bar in two, and gives Ben the bigger piece.

4x11_orchiddharmalogo.jpgIn an interesting scene on the boat Mr. Crazy Military man cracked open a safe and pulled out a "Plan B" document. But why is there a Dharma logo on this Widmore sponsered plan b? And is that the Orchid station logo?

4x09: HalliwaxBen's nice desert jacket bears an interesting name on the front of it. For those of you who may have missed it, Halliwax was the name that Marvin Kandle used in the Orchid video that was released before season 4 begun.

4x09: New Dharma LogoBen gave us yet another new Dharma logo tonight when he showed up in the Sahara Desert sporting a coat with a logo on the shoulder. Could that be a small sprout, the logo of the infamous Orchid station? Let us know what you think it is.

4x02 Dharma Toy PlaneIn a flashback scene from "Confirmed Dead", the second episode of the fourth season of LOST, Frank drops a toy airplane into a fish tank while watching the news footage of Oceanic 815's discovery. There's a mark on top of the plane, which resembles a Dharma Logo. Or, maybe just a hole. It's hard to tell due to the blurriness. You make the call!

3x11: Chuck Waxly ReturnsOur old friend Marvin Candle (aka Mark Wickmund, aka Chuck Waxly <-- my own contribution) makes a return appearance in 3x11, "Enter 77". Indeed, it is our favorite one armed Asian mad scientist that provides the title of the episode we he prompts, "Enter 77" to report hostile presence. In what seems to be a ridiculous computer prompt, recordings of the good Doc appear to read menu items and provide feedback on execution. Why the menu would not appear simply in text, but have loops of film repeat instead, is a bit bizarre and counter intuitive. I'm sure old Marvin had to be sitting there at the Flame station thinking to himself, "Why am I recording all these menu items and responses when it could just appear on the screen as text?". In this film, it is much more obvious that Wickle has a fake left arm. In the Pearl video, however, it appears that Wickmund has use of his left arm.

3x11: Dharma WheelsIn 3x11, "Enter 77", Sayid visits Sami's restaurant under the false pretense of fulfilling the position of chef. Sami's real plan was to lure Sayid to his restaurant so his wife could identify him as the man that tortured her in Iraq. The walls of the restaurant are decorated with many patterns, including the previously seen Dharma Wheel, or Dharmacakra. Two wheels appeared on Isaac's wall when Bernard and Rose visited him in Australia near Ayers Rock.

3x11: Swan MerlotIn 3x11, "Enter 77", we finally get a look at the long known about, but yet to be seen Flame Station. The station is manned by Mikhail Bakunin and Ms. Klugh. However, it appears that the only place to get some good Merlot on the island is at the Swan Station. While other items in the Flame are labeled with a generic logo, or the Flame logo, the wine comes from the sink hole formerly known as the Swan Station. What is curious about all of this, is the question of what exactly were Kelvin, Radzinsky and Desmond doing in the Swan Station. Kelvin claimed to be part of the Dharma Initiative, and if true, why did he survive "The Purge". Was Kelvin really the last surviving member of the Dharma Initiative, one of the Hostiles, or something else?

3x10: Dharma Road MapIn episode 3x10, "Tricia Tanaka is Dead", Hurley finds a beat up VW Bus that was used by Dharma. Inside the van, he finds a dead Dharma "Work Man" named Roger. The van also contains Dharma Beer, and Dharma Beer Lite in addition to a lot of paperwork. Sawyer takes special notice of a map, or blueprint, which appears to show a road that Dharma was planning on building that would lead to the Swan Station. The map includes a more detailed drawing of the Swan Station than previously seen, but any details are hard to make out.

3x08 04: Namaste PaintingThe painting in Charles Widmore's office in "Flashes Before Your Eyes" contains the word "Namaste". Namaste is the eastern phrase that seems to be the standard Dharma "goodbye". Marvin Candle signs off with "Namaste" on the Orientation videos, and the phrase has been seen in the ARG "The Lost Experience". In addition to "Namaste", the painting contains a polar bear and a Buddha - both of which are recurring themes in Lost.

At first look, it appears "Namaste" is painted backwards on the painting. However, further study reveals that the shot was flipped in post production. In wider shots, the painting can be seen on Desmond's left, with the word "Namaste" written correctly.

3x07: The Brainwashing FilmWe were treated to an odd brainwashing video in "Not in Portland". The film contains many strange images, in addition to footage of Alvar Hanso and Gerald DeGroot. The footage of Hanso and DeGroot is straight from the Swan Station Orientation film. Notably, the video contains images of a Buddha, along with phrases inspired from the teachings of eastern philosophy.

3x05: Mystery Monocular ManIn 3x5, we see an unknown man in one of the monitors in the Pearl Station. Could this man be related to the glass-eye found in the Arrow Station by the tailies? He is wearing some Dharma clothing, but the logo isn't quite visible enough to determine what station it belongs to.
