What's Hot: 6x06: "Sundown" Recap
Sayid begins this week in the alterverse, getting out of a cab in front of a house in a typical suburban tropical locale. He approaches the front door with roses and is greeted with a smiling and obviously happy to see him Nadia... and her two kids and her husband. Who is also his brother.
A barefooted Lennon (Seriously? Barefoot? On cold stone floors and running around in the twigs and dirt outside? It hurts just to watch. I want to mail him some Birkenstocks.) Anyway, a barefooted Lennon runs (how does he not stub a toe or something? I wonder if he gets those tiny little cuts on the underside of his little toes. You know, the ones right in the crease where it bends over and you can't put a band aid on it?) to Dogen's... uh, office, I guess, to tell him Sayid's alive! And the fact that my mind is distracted with concern over this characters feet gives you some indication of how riveting I thought this episode was.
As the recap show winds to a close we see yet again the awful, heart-wrenching moment where Juliet gets sucked to the depths of a devastating hole and James gets sucked to the depths of sorrow and despair; their hands ripped apart, their love story crushed and ended. In her dying moments she valiantly exhausts her last bits of strength to save the man she loves and his friends, to put right what once went so horribly wrong. Some viewers weep openly, some brush back a tear. Very few are untouched by this scene. The credits roll and the words we have waited eight months are spoken: "Previously on Lost..."
Note: The following story was an April Fools joke. However, regardless of its lack of truth, it is very entertaining and funny. Enjoy.
In a bizarre series of events, not unlike many of the plot-lines in the veteran island mystery drama, LOST co-creator, executive producer, showrunner and writer, Damon Lindelof, has abruptly broken all ties with ABC and quit the show, just a few weeks before the hit series' fifth season finale. The unexpected departure has left ABC executives and LOST producers scrambling to quiet concerns over the series future. Lindelof has largely been regarded as the driving force behind LOST, and the main source and inspiration for the shows overall direction. His premature exit has many industry insiders questioning whether or not the sci-fi pop-phenom will even return for it's sixth and final season next year. More after the jump.
On this Christmas night I hope we are all thinking of what the next month will bring us, and what joy we have had from seasons past. As we go to bed, may we have all have wonderful and magical Lost Christmas dreams.
I'm dreaming of a Lost Christmas
Just like the ones with Ethan Rom
Where the treeline rustles,
and Sawyer hustles
To shoot bears and boars and Tom.
I'm dreaming of a Lost Christmas
With every Other that you fight
May your bears and bunnies be white
And may all your Dharma Beers be light
I'm dreaming of a Lost Christmas
With marbles colored black and white
Where the tree frog's singing
And ears are ringing
From when the hatch blew up that night.
I'm dreaming of a Lost Christmas
With every number that is cursed.
May McCutcheon's knock down your thirst,
And may all your bad luck be reversed.
Is your addiction to LOST interrupting your "normal" life, and rendering you socially awkward? Are you unable to sleep at night as your mind wrestles with the mysteries of LOST: Who made the four-toed statue? Who is Ben's man on the boat? What is Smokey? Is Christian Shepard alive, and is he Jacob? Where do those food pallets come from? And who the heck is in that tiny dwarf-sized coffin?! While you may never know the answer to all of these questions, there is good news for those suffering from an unrelenting obsession with LOST: Perspective. Perspective is a new product recently released which offers hope to those suffering from Lost Addiction Syndrome. Perspective may not be right for everyone, so we encourage you to watch the video after the jump, and consult your doctor to see if Perspective is right for you.
