Desmond is seen reading Salman Rushdie's "Haroun and the Sea of Stories", while Kate finds Kierkegaard's "Fear and Trembling" - or rather, the french version, "crainte et tremblement". Also included is a closer look at Jack's neck wound, the Ankh, the temple, and the new others.

CUe/Lindeloff were on Jimmy Kimmel after the show, and Jimmy got them to play "significant vs. coincidence". If someone can find the interview,it would be good to post here. What I can remember:

significant:
- the space in the title "LA X"
- Jack getting one less bottle of booze from the stewardess
- Rose was calm, jack was the nervous flyer
- Shannon was not on the plane

coincidence:
- Desmond disappearing when Charlie appeared
- The book that Kate was reading

There were a few more - worth finding that interview....

Mendy! That was the coolest link. Thank you so much for sharing it. I KNEW that card was important because the camera lingered.

maybe tag Ankh as well. As always, thanks for the time and effort you put into this site.

you should talk about the meanings of both books.
Kierkegaard's book is about whether Abraham should kill his son, and whether the act is good or evil.

The second book, Salmon Rushdie's "Harouh and the Sea of Stories," is about the power of imagination.
One character actually says, "What's the use of stories that aren't even true?"

That line might summarize the season, in a way.

The address is also that of screenwriter agent Warden, White & Associates. Wonder if they represent any of Lost's writers?

Rose is reading a magazine called "Weekly Woodsman" and when Bernard comes back from the toilet we see the advert on the rear page. It says " The truth is out there" and in the bottom left corner is what looks to me like a tobacco advert.

check out the address on google maps... zoom in twice and check out where it says "independent group" to the east of the "Delight Medical & Wellness Center."

Also (and this is even cooler looking), if you zoom out and scroll east a bit you'll see 2 large "dharma-esque" looking sub divisions, both with designs in the middle. just kind of neat.

Jack's business card. I'd like to see that up close.
