What's Hot: First New Image of Season 6
A new video series has begun on abc.com that will give us new information on The Dharma Initiative. A supposed news program from the 1980's called "Mysteries Of The Universe" is airing a 5 episode investigation into the Dharma Initiative. Episode one is currently showing on abc.com. A new episode will air each month through November. The scheduled air dates for episodes 2 through 5 are August 4th, September 8th, October 15th and November 16th. Episode one is an introduction into the upcoming series and gives some background into a secret organization called the Dharma Initiative. See the video after the break.
There is no real new information in episode one, but there does appear to be some hidden pictures that need to be investigated. They do suggest that the Dharma Intiative is involved with alien life forms, paranormal activity, monsters, ancient cultures, cults and conspiracy. I hope that we are not getting into aliens now. Isn't time travel and god like characters enough? We will post all of our findings and discussion here

These were funny as heck to watch! Nice job making them look like those old "documentaries."
Did you see the picture of the submarine in the first one? And Question #4 on the interview list in the second one -- "Who is your constant?" Cool. Loved Suspicious Phil's neighbor -- ha!
Just imagine -- what would you say if you went to a job interview and they asked "Who is your constant?" Personally, I'd say "What?" I mean, it's not a common phrase except to Losties, is it?
Has anyone seen part 2? Alien haters might not like the mention of Area 51...
FINALLY Jugdish and i finally agree on something.... thank you... at leas we are on good terms now.
"In search of....Jack's bad hair-piece"!...LOL
I don't think I'd look to "Mysteries..." as a fact book for LOST, but more along the lines of "In Search Of..." that was narrated by Leonard Nimoy.
Uhhhh.... lostfan, I think I still have those Time Life books in my house! lol... if I find them, I'll definitely make a post about it in the thread. This is turning more and more into Borges' "Tlon, Uqbar, Orbis Tertius"...
There was a series of Time Life books in the 80's called 'Mysteries of the Universe'. Each volume dealt with a different mystery and was titled accordingly, such as monsters, ancient societies, etc. It was clear to me this episode was only supposed to be dealing with 'secret societies', not aliens, but maybe later episodes might deal with other crossover mysteries from the series and the show such as 'paranormal activity' or 'ghosts', etc. I'm kicking myself now because I sold the whole set of books on eBay awhile back! Doh!
I agree BadRobot
Even though this is just another ad for the DVD set (it will be included) I hope it will be fun with some informations. THe producers did mention it at comic con so they know about it and are involved. That is a good sign.
the mention of those things i think are justwhat the show would touch uppon if the show was a areal series.. and in this one reguardng the DI is one of those " unclassified, secret" ones that they explore.. but i cant wait... this and the LOST UNIVERSITY will be a good way to pass the time...
I sure hope you guys are right.
That's the impression I got, too, that the series "Mysteries of the Universe" is what deals with aliens, but this episode focuses on The Dharma Initiative, maybe as a cult or conspiracy.
I really hope that the "alien life forms, paranormal activity, monsters, ancient cultures, cults and conspiracy" are just part of the opening intro to the show and not related to Dharma.
