What's Hot: First New Image of Season 6
When Charles Widmore comes to visit a broken down and memory deprived Daniel Faraday, just after the Oceanic wreckage was found, we get a quick glimpse of a magazine on the couch. That magazine is an August 2003 issue of WIRED. The cover says, "The Super Power Issues," as well as "The Impossible Gets Real." There is also a mention of Time Travel on the cover as well.

For all you clue hunters out there, no need to buy a physical back issue, wired's got 'em all online. The "user's guide to time travel" is particularly relevant for the themes of LOST:

The current may issue edited by JJ Abrams contains a LOST-themed number puzzle on p 104. It's a white spread with a photo of the "mega lotto jackpot" ticket that made Hurley his fortune, and columns of 4 rows of numbers on each page. Wired is an awesome mag, and I'm surprised it didn't intersect with LOST sooner. Go buy it while it's out!
If you won't, or can't, there is a scan of the puzzle here:

rereading an old issue... dudes got memory issues... its all new to him...
August 2003? What the heck? How can Dan be watching the wreck that didn't happen until 2004?!?
At first I thought this was just a nod to the current J.J. Abrams' magical-mystery puzzle edition of WIRED. I should have known they producers wouldn't let a simple product placement go un-enigma-tized!
I will also be checking out the MAY 2009 issue of WIRED after watching the video here.

Oddly similar your right. Definatly altered.
Long time reader first time poster.
It also says "The End of Cancer"...I can think of someone who's cancer went away when she got on the island.
I doubt anyone without tivo noticed the "sex.com" add. FCC would love that I'm sure.
It looks similar but different from the Aug 2003 issue. I suspect an evil plot by Charles Widmore, complete with fake back issues on ebay.
Bought it Now. Will search for clues. Time cop ericd543, out. ;)
