No, Ethan was born in 1977, just before the O6 returned (remember Juliet asking Amy what the baby's name was as she was attempting to take the submarine manifest to fake the Losties' arrival).

Alex was stolen in 1988; since the purge didn't occur until 1992, that means that both Ben and Ethan were Others prior to the purge. Which doesn't make a whole lot of sense, since we know that Ben went back to Dharma (Richard even told him that would be the case in last night's ep) and was part of Dharma still when the purge happened.

So did Ben moonlight as an Other? Dharma worker by day, baby-stealer by night? And if so, how did he get Ethan involved?

And why doesn't Rousseau remember Ben? You think she would have immediately told Sayid when they initially captured him (as Henry Gale) that he was the one who took her Alex. All she ever said was that he was "one of them" and that "for a long time, he will lie". Doesn't make much sense. She also said that she had never seen anyone on the island after her team was killed, which isn't true because she saw (and talked to) Ben, plus Ethan was by his side.

I seriously hope the continuity folks aren't starting to slack off in the final seasons.

I thought Ethan was born in 1974? Because it's presently 1977 on the island for Sawyer's group and they've been there 3 years. So I guess Ethan is around 14 then.

The purge happened in 1992, horace told john (it was a vision but...) tha he had been dead for 12 years, 2004 - 12 = 1992

In 2004 Alex was 16 so she was born in 1988
2004 - 16 = 1988

So the Ethan was 11 in this portion of the episode when Alex was Taken,

Wasn't it 1988 or 89 when Rousseau's team got to the island? I know for sure it wasn't long after her team was infected and she shot them that Alex was born; then the Purge took place in 1994. So Ethan had been taken from Dharma before that all happened. Also, it seems to me that Ben did a lot of going back and forth between the Dharma folk and the Others. IDK, correct me if I'm wrong on the timeline here.

Danille crashed on the island in 1988. She was 7 months pregnent. She gave bith about 2 month later. She told Sayid they took Alex a week after she was born. Ethan was born in 1977. In last nights ep he looks about 10 or 11 years old. He is just tall for his age. The adult Ethan was a big guy. How he got with the others is yet to be seen.

No way is it post 1992 - Alex was 16 when she died in 2004, and that baby wasn't 4 years old.
