What's Hot: First New Image of Season 6
Ever since Sun and Frank went back to Othersville a couple of weeks ago, and we got to see the condition the barracks were in, plus the fact that there were apparantly still Dharma photos hanging up, people started to cry alternate timeline. I mean, how else could the barracks look SO different than when we last saw them. The theory was that something must have been changed in the past to cause the difference. But tonight when Ben entered his old house he looked at a Risk board laying on a table, a subtle clue that nothing has changed.
Follow the jump for more.
Last season, just before Keamy shot Alex, Hurley, Sawyer, and a few other people were holed up in Ben's house. While in there, Hurley and Sawyer played a game of risk while having a little snack. As you can see from the images below, the Risk board is still there, just the way they left it more than 3 years before.

pix have a few extras, don't they? extra plate, cards?
Good shout on the risk board sledgeweb, however it still doesn't explain all the dharma 'decorations' still knocking around othersville, which is why I still can't regard this as proof.
Has anybody thought that maybe Sun and company aren't in the present, but the future? All we know is that the majority of them are in the 70s. But no date has been given for what time it is where the plane landed....
I apologize, it's just 3 years or so. Added an extra 0 by accident. and His appearance may not be that different b/c of it.
I personally think this one is amazing. This shows that whatever happened really did happen. Thus, Hurley and Sawyer are somewhere (alive or dead) thirty or so years into the future from the point they were playing Risk. So, Sun will eventually find her answer where Jin is and the rest of the people who were sent back into the 70's. The question's now are, how do they look 30 years later? Are Jin and the rest of the 1970's people alive or dead? This should lead into a great finale and a great next season.
I just figured Lapidus and Sun decided to play while they waited for Locke, haha!
also there is two plates in the picture when the barracks ware destroyed , although when smokey came and the commandos the plate could have fallen off the table and broken
Maybe I'm dense, but how does the Risk game prove that there's no alternate timelin?
Not a fan of the alternate timeline. Glad to see some proof that it's not.
Since Hurley and Sawyer never went back to Othersville it could be that it really IS their game... In fact, jack, Kate, Hurley and Sayed are caught up 30 years from now so MAYBE Ben, Locke and Sun come back on... Let's call it "Island's present day"; what I mean is THEY could also have travelled in time but just three years not thirtey, so they could be kind of be just a few days from after they left...
But just a guess...
Well, to be fair lostfromthestart, we don't actually know if that image above is how the board was left. It seems close enough to me to be clear of the point.
On the other hand.... that doesn't look like the exact same game session in action......
Yeah, the camp was wrecked by both the commandos themselves, and smokey's arival to kick some commando butt. A battle like that causes a lot of collateral damage.
i was very glad to see this! I did not want an alternate time line.
Never believed in this 'alternative' idea. The camp was wrecked after the commando assault... I think people just didn't remember HOW wrecked.
Okay, yeah. Not the first time I've been off about something on this show.:)
