I think I remember Ben suggesting a long time ago that some people of the DI were spared in order to join his ranks. Ethan must've been one of them.

why else would the pic be so high up and the people we're so bellow?
Muppet Show or not, it's the same columns
The shot with the columns isnt the university. It's the Muppet Show skit. Watch the same monitor and you can the the two grumpy old men skit also. Radzinsky is a TV buff as 5 of the 6 monitors are all television shows.
Long time viewer, first time poster . . .
The pic with Jin bent over the controls at the monitor station...the top left screen is a shot of the place where Desmond spent his Monk days and where Faraday had his lab. I forget what the place has been referred to throughout the show, but you can see it's the same columns from a side view.
That kid who plays Ben as a teenager looks so much like Michael Emerson that it is spooky!
Also, forgive me for being such a stickler, but if Ethan was born in 1977, that would have made him 27 when Oceanic 815 crashed in 2004, quite a few years younger than the actor who plays him.
I wonder why the Flame has cameras off-island? At least that's what some of the images look like to me.
Take another look at Dharma recruits photo that is hanging by one hook askew. That's the same photo as '77 group, fewer people!
Muppet Show - I didn't even notice that! I was busy wondering who was the news team just to the right of it! Re: the painting - I see a bear and smokey and some thing with a claw/pincer. Anyone else with ideas on this?
How can no one mention that Radzinsky is watching the MUPPET SHOW in the FLAME?!? Hilarious.
