What's Hot: 6x05: User Requested Images
Sun, who is definitely in 2007, was shown a photo tonight by the enigmatic Christian Shepard. The photo was of the 1977 New Recruits at the Dharma Initiative and included Jack, Hurley, and Kate. Next we got to see the actual photo being taken in 1977. When comparing the photo Christian showed Sun to the actual event there appears to be a missing person from the actual 1977 event. Or is there? If you look, there appears to be a missing person on the back row, right side, next to the guy on the very end. In the photo Christian showed there is another man back there. However, on closer inspection it appears that the man may just be very very small. You can see a foot (circled in the image) sticking out at the very bottom of the second image on the next page. Judge for yourself, is this man just hiding, or is there a person missing from the actual event?
Note: If you watch the remainder of the shot, you see that there was infact someone standing behind the woman. Mystery solved!!

the 'missing guy' is just short so you can't see him behind the woman w/ the other angle. no mystery.
besidest the missing guy there is a couple more differences from the recruit photo and the still of the group that we have here... the still that was chosen fro a still could just be not the same time the picture was taken,,,, acouple other differences ive found....
-the woman in the white shirt and the kakhi skirt her hand isnt the same position
the guy with teh mustance to teh right of her, he's smileing in the still but not the actial photo.
so thos could just mean the still we have f the group just isnt the same time as the picture was taken... whomever got the still from the show just messed up and didnt get the right still from the appropriate time.
#4 must be hiding in the live photo. Shoe remnant looks authentic, and no apparent photoshopping. Obviously different photos... either the group shifted 3-4 feet to their left, or the photographer changed his/her angle. Balloons also out of sync between the photos, more so if you account for the physical/visual shift.
Yes, in the preview for next week it seems to show Juliet and Kate working together. She probably got her the mechanic job so she could keep an eye on her.
Every job has a slightly different outfit.

I agree it is a good catch, but think this is just a production error. The person is question is just very short. He is there in the live photo, but is completely blocked by the woman in front of him. You can see his shoe, though. And since the photo has Hurley looking the right way, they must have retaken the picture at some point.
I'm more interested in the person in the background when Christian shows Sun the picture, Right after Christian says "you have a bit of a journey ahead of you", the camera pans to Sun. Look over Sun's shoulder. There is a person with long hair (probably a woman) in the background. Is that a crew member who got caught in the shot by accident or is it the return of Charlotte?
Two different photos though. One has Hurley looking forward and the other at Kate.

hmmm, maybe a young Widmore as an infiltrator? Ben blows his cover and this is how Widmore is expelled from the Island. Who knows.

Way good catch! Man #4 is definitely missing from the group but is in the photo. Now... who is he? He isn't immediately recognizable to me.
I'm with Lottery Ticket, too -- I couldn't see that showing this pic proved anything to Sun regarding Jin. It proved that Hurley, Jack, and Kate were on-island in 1977, but nothing about Jin, except Christian said "He's with your friends" or something.
Christian is showing a photo of Jack, Kate, Hurley in 1977 proving Jin is there? What? Good catch on missing man. Maybe that was the point of the photo.
Who ever discovered that detail is amazing.
