Segment Ratings for The Little Prince

Thumbnail image for segmentRatingsIcon.jpgThe Little Prince confirmed hiatus-long speculation that Jin is still alive, and also introduced us for the first time to Danielle's crew in a 1988 time warp. These two highlights stood out in a decent, but not spectacular fourth episode for the seaon. To see how the segments were rated by SWLS users, click the continue reading link below. The ratings for The Little Prince started out low, but made a generally upward progression as the show continued. Indications are that fans enjoyed the episode, but not as much as Jughead. It was lacking that one mind-blowing moment, and it did not have the constant momentum drive we saw with Jughead. The opening segment returned the lowest rating so far this season, below 4.0 average. This segment featured more pre-fake-rescue planning between Jack and Kate, and the less than thrilling revelation that Sun was tracking Ben and Jack (and packing heat... and chocolate).

Segment 2 returned higher ratings, but was still the lowest second segment of the young season. This segment featured more Sayid vs Darts, and Charlotte waking up.

Interestingly, the third segment was the highest rated third segment so far in Season 5. This segment featured the time-tripping losties return to Season 1, with a visit to Kate and Claire during Aaron's birth, and a far-off few of the hatch-light answering Locke's existential query.

The ratings dropped back down in Segment 4, where we got a look at the Ajira bottle and a canoe chase.

Segment 5 was the strongest segment of the episode, which introduced us to Danielle's team and revealed that Jin was still alive.

Unfortunately, the last segment saw another drop in ratings, and thus indicates the show did not end on a high note. This episode as a whole contrasts with Jughead, which constantly returned higher ratings with each episode. Although The Little Prince did have a general upward trend in segment ratings, there were some big up and down shift along the way.
