My belief is that anyone who has traveled to the past will not age until they reach the time that they went back. So maybe that's why Richard always looks the same; because he's from the future too.

If time skipping has stopped as LostDave suggest, and Jack & them are stuck in the past during the Dharma days....they could still get back to the present. They can use the Dharma device in the Orchid. It's the device Ben loaded up with metal to blow a hole in the wall.

Here's what I think:

The diagram Caesar found is a photocopy of Daniel's map.

Note the traces of the notepad's lines.

The lines tend to drift out of alignment toward the upper right, but that could be accounted for by the angle of the photographs - they are not dead on.

LostDave, I think that was just an accident or typo on Sledge's part when he said the final days of Dharma. I agree pretty much completely with what you just said. :)

I don't think so. That was when they were still constructing the Orchid station, and the construction workers had just found the area where the wheel was. This would have been back in the '70s, when that was still just an unfinished tunnel. Later it would be completed as that subterranean lab with the booth you are not supposed to put metal in. That's what it would have looked like in Dharma's final days.

I think that what Locke did by turning the wheel has stopped the time jumping, but still left our castaways marooned in the past. We know they are in the '70s because Faraday was able to don a Dharma uniform and infiltrate the orchid while it was under construction, which we know was in the '70s. Also Jin is wearing a crisp new Dharma uniform (not one that's been moldering in the jungle for 20+ years) and driving what looks like a brand new Dharma microbus.

We also know that their time jumping must have stopped, or at least slowed down substantially, because because they have had time to partially infiltrate the Dharma initiative. When we last saw them the flashes were coming too fast for them to have had the time to steal uniforms, slip into bases, and steal vehicles.

That's why I think that the flashes stopped when Locke turned the wheel, leaving them stuck in the Dharma heyday of the '70s. And now it seems that Jack, Hurley, and Kate have "synched up with them". It makes sense that Ben and Frank might not have gone back to the same time because they were not "attuned" with the 815 survivors. But if we assume that Sun was the woman Frank went off with, it makes me wonder why she didn't time jump with the rest of them. And we still don't know about Sayid.

Anyway, it could be a good thing if the survivors are stuck in the '70s for a bit, because it gives us a chance to find out more about what Dharma's objectives were, and exactly what they were doing.

Question...First time poster:
Im not sure which season it was, but Ben took Locke to see Jacob. When we got a flash of Jacob, wasn't he wearing a hood? Similar to the one Locke was wearing at the beach just after the new plane crash...So here is my brain's hamster wheel turning...Could it be that Ben traps Locke in time & space preventing him from 'leaping' and getting anything done? (by tying him up to a chair in that hut in the middle of the island with black powder around it?) Since he is part of the original crash and everyone else is leaping....Far fetched...I know...But this show is a bit unpreditable...Bne cannot leap because he is not part of the Oceanic 6...I don't know...the more I write, the more I think I am going crazy with my post :)

I think the logo represents the Tempest station. The one Dan and Charlotte go to and disarm the poison gas stuff.

You're right! And I saw Rousseau's all folded up in the pile of papers & just confused which one we were seeing the close-up of.

That's Dan's map. Rousseau's is the old pirate looking map.

I don't remember Rousseau's original map having a Dharma station logo on it? Was it there in the one that we saw in previous seasons & I've just forgotten?
