I thought the same thing, but then, their clothes and the compass warped with them. I really expected them to just fall into the water and have to swim when they time jumped. Whatever.
was anyone else bothered by the fact that the wooden boat that Locke and Co. were using to get to the Orchard came with then through the time flash into the rain storm? maybe it was for story-telling practicality, but i'm pretty sure there have been other items that have not come through the time flashes. if you buy the theory that anything the time travelers are touching comes through the flash, that proves that the past can be changed - they just took a boat through time, subsequently removing it from the previous time period.

I don't know why but Claire's mom really reminds me of the woman from London in last weeks episode. The one that Desmond spoke to. No idea why. Maybe it's the strange, almost British accent Claire's mom has.
